    That's a relief. This actually puts this in my favorite subject area\pet peeve on ecigs. Airflow. The 'conditions' in the liquid chamber will change as liquid is used affecting performance, just like sealed system bottom feeders. Have you given any thought to adjustable airflow?

    Ok, I believe I understand now. The principle is similar to an upside-down bottle water dispenser? I'll restate my way....The suction from the user drawing on the mouthpiece assists air in getting into the sealed outer chamber which in turn allows the outer chamber liquid into the wicking area?

    I never lay my tanks on the side but sometimes have problems with air tube leaks. I have really traced this back to all the goofy ways I tilt my tanks when I use them. I now put 2 'doughnut' rings on top of my ceramic cup rather than the usual silicon fitting and make sure i get them snugged...

    I'm still a little fuzzy on whats happening with Dan's new design but I believe y'all. I'm sure if I had it in front of me built out of pvc pipe I'd be like, duh! I'm good at visualizing software processes but hardware takes work for me to 'get' sometimes!

    Yeah I don't hate the idea, I wish it was workable, I'm absolutely wild about internet community information sharing and cooperative stuff, but look at Gummy's light bulb post. Trying to get a large group to agree on something is REALLY like that in practice, its not really a joke!

    My experience with software tells me that open source anything without immediate commercial incentive works best when 1 party does most of the initial work. That sets the direction, otherwise you're 'discussing' it ad nauseam....

    Turbo, I don't have that link, but do you know that if you buy threaded rod to fit the hole, you will have to grind it down to fit the spring and washers? That's why I never even looked and decided the nails\metal carto tubes were groovy. UA72Riddle may have the link though.

    I don't think the top cap will fit flush with the outside of the tube if you use a larger OD. Unless you modify the design of the top cap too. Edit - bottom may be the same story.

    The difference is supposed to be throat hit, more of it from the larger weave. I think someone else also mentioned the other difference, which is the larger weave will wick higher VG blends better than the smaller weave.
