Welcome a new member to the vaporizing team!

Hey Drhookerman! Welcome to ECF. :) Glad the videos were helpful. But something I want to point out - I didn't do this in my original series because at the time (only 2 or 3 months ago) it was considerably more expensive than a 510. But now, the prices are coming down. If you're interested in...

I started vaping Windows Gadet Counter

That's pretty neat! :) I'm not much of a desktop widget girl, and I'm running Linux so it won't work on my computer anyway, but nice work!

You know what makes me sad?

I think I'm going to cry. This is why I order big bottles of my faves, the ones that are too big to have a dripper. That way, an empty bottle just means time to refill. And when I have one more 30ml refill left, it's time to reorder. And by the time I get to the new bottle, it's aged a bit.

    Atomizer maintenance

It's just that you calling it residue when it isn't is misleading, and if it were true that IA can leave residue, people would be dying from soaking their atties in it. It's simply a scientific truth that it does not leave residue. My point is that there is most likely some other chemical...

    Atomizer maintenance

Your second link does not say IA leaves residue. It says you have to wait longer for lower concentrations to dry, due to its higher distilled water content. I also notice that quote you grabbed from the Wiki is tagged as "citation needed." More about the uses of isopropyl alcohol which...

medical insurance ( save even more money )

How long does it take for nic to clear your body? I'd happily deal with zero-nic vaping for a week or so, if they were going to test me. Entities that rob people professionally don't really deserve respect...

    How much do I vape?

Well, lighter than me. Assuming what you meant is that one battery lasts you 2 days. A 650mAh eGo battery lasts me 7 or 8 hours.

    Atomizer maintenance

Well, there's a difference between someone thinking it and the actual chemistry behind it. I'm inclined to think there's either a contaminant in the alcohol, or there was something on the drip tip that IA won't dissolve. Because that's all that makes sense, given the chemistry of IA.

That's what I'm going to do. It is true. You're not smoking anything.

    Atomizer maintenance

I don't really know what to tell you. Chemically, it doesn't. It wouldn't be used for the kind of applications it is if it left residue. I'm inclined to wonder if there was something on the drip tip the IA couldn't dissolve.

    Atomizer maintenance

No, they don't. Not dry is not the same thing as residue. Alcohol evaporates completely, and so does distilled water. That's all that's in isopropyl alcohol. People use it to clean film strips specifically because it DOES NOT leave residue. If it did, the film would be ruined. The problem with...

    306 Drip Tip Removal?

I haven't used these, but the Cannon drip tips are supposed to address this issue of 306's sometimes being tapered and drip tips not fitting right. Cannon | Drip Tips | E- | Cigs | Cigarettes | Cisco 306 | Cherry Vape

Help: 510 battery problems! Dying over here.

The others gave great suggestions, just one note. You can't use an LR atty on a 6v e-cig, or even 5v. It probably would pop the second you fired it. LR atties are designed to be used on 3.7v, to increase the power to be more like 5v. The reason people do that on mods is because in e-cigs drain...

Vaping Preference Poll - Please Vote!

You can drip any kinda juice you want. I do the isopropyl alcohol soak every few days, and all my atties are wokin' great. Removing the bridge is not *necessary,* and once you do it you can never use carts on that atty again, so make sure you're, well... sure. :p But I think it does improve...

    Why mods? Why 6v?

It was basically one big reason. I have a repetitive stress injury, and my thumb is weak. Top switches are out of the question. Which is also the same reason I eliminated the Omega. The Roughstack is also not fully mechanical, though I understand the circuit board is easily replaced.

    Flavor stickers?

Little rubber bands! Either orthodontic rubber bands, or hair bands, that are between 3/8 and 1/8 inch in size. They stay on as long as you want, come off easily when you want, and you can re-use them.

    Atomizer maintenance

For atomizers, every few days I drop them in a little cup of isopropyl alcohol (you can use 70-91%) for 5 or 10 minutes. Then, I pick them up, threads down, and let the alcohol drain out the bottom. Dunk it back in, and let it drain again, 4 or 5 times. Just takes a minute. Then I let it set in...

    Why mods? Why 6v?

I've been looking at mechanical because of its longevity. With basic cleaning, it will last a damn long time. Even if something breaks, it's a relatively easy fix. And you can have a mod that basically lasts forever. Electrical mods often fail within a couple years of regular use, and often...

    Fda

They have tested it (although poorly). And, they found no risks at all. And, they managed to spin that into e-cigs being "dangerous." The claim it has anti-freeze in it. Actually, it has 3 ingrediants in some anti-freezes. One is water. One is PG, which is used to make anti-freeze less toxic...
