    An imr is a specific chemistry... LiMn... There is no record of ANY LiMn battery causing any explosions EVER... Gasing? Yes.. Exploding? No. Li ion? Yes...records of it taking off faces? Yes. Use what you want.... But do your research... Edit: cuz I'm a hotheaded jerk sometimes....

    Any of mine that I thought were too fat, I just unroll them trim whatever off to leave about 3/16 to a 1/4 inch and the reroll around the blunt needle that came with my standard, season a bit.. You will still have to do zens trick of twisting it a bit tighter on one end to get it started, but...
