I love it and it's one of my favorites. I'm all out right now and overloaded with e-juice so I need to wait a bit to order some more. Yes, it has a sweet taste but also sort of a warm vanilla tobacco flavor as well. It's definitely not as sweet as Riskee. It gives great vapor and throat hit...
I went back and read as many battery threads as I could find and it looks like I'd need a regulator to keep from burning up my atomizer at those higher voltages. That's definitely a possibility down the line but for now, I'll just take those 3.6v batteries that I've ordered and go the opposite...
I used to refill carts but now that I use manual switch mods 90% of the time, I only direct drip since there's no concern about any leakage into the battery and the atomizer is extremely efficient at burning up all the liquid.
Thanks for the correction on the screwdriver. Since the magnum ran on two cells I incorrectly thought that the screwdriver ran on two of those spiderfire cells. Hmm... I have a bunch of 3.6v AA and AAA sized batteries on order from dealextreme and i'm debating whether to put two of them in my...
The Magnum runs on 6v, usb is 5v, and the screwdriver i believe runs on 7.2v. How far can we take it without melting everything or starting a fire?
Yeah bastage definitely was one of the pioneers with some of his mods. Thanks to him, maddog, and countless others, I've got about 4 mods done now and the magnum/detonator is on my short list to try next. The usb passthrough mod is by far the most simple mod out there and I daresay anyone...
Do both! Building mods is extremely satisfying and it's a nice way to learn simple wiring and soldering. The results are amazing as well. With that said, a commercial unit still has the benefit of being the most unobtrusive out in public due to its more compact nature. I haven't tried the...
Good catch. I was wondering about the "M" size myself. I stood there at Radio Shack for a good while staring at the "M" connectors after cleaning out their supply of the "N" connectors. Now we need to find a connector for those loongtotem v9 clones. I've thus far just been direct wiring...
thanks guys! I took one of my usb mods apart and rewired it with the n-size coaxial connector and added i in an LED as well just to try it out. It works great! I actually tried it initially with a disposable lithium AA battery but it didn't have enough power which is strange. I'll have to...
It's not even close for me and I'll never make up the cost difference. I was a light smoker but I'm a heavy vaper. I'm happy to be a non-smoker again but my addicting personality and my love of gadgets has been my downfall. It's no big deal though. I'm vaping typically low or no nic e-juice...
sigh, why didn't I think of trying that! i was trying every possible combination with the leads and was going crazy trying to figure it out. i should have just treated it like my atomizer mods from the start. Thanks! Is the positive end still the lead labeled "pin" in the diagram?
lol, okay, you tempted me enough. i'm in for one. even though I've been hooked on mods lately (and I swore I'd never buy another e-cig), my curiosity got the best of me. i'm such a sucker.
No worries. I was just commenting that the price seemed remarkably high compared to other pass thru's on the market. Granted you guys are the first to offer one for the loongtotem v9 clones but still...
The batteries are on order, the flashlight is sitting at home, and I'm going to visit radio shack today to see if I can find any of those coaxial fittings (as well as more juice box mod supplies). I would still need to pick up some PVC from home depot but that can wait.
Yeah that was what I was thinking as a possibility as well. The first time I tried this mod, I had too much solder on the inside ring of the atomizer which led to a short with the outside ring. The second time I screwed it up, I found a small piece of metal (positive connection), just barely...
