MOUNTAIN VAPOR HAS ECHO'S (ECHO kits, ECHO-e, ECHO-v, ECHO auto batteries)

Hey Bacon, good to see another Greenville area vaper here, I'm just up the road in Mauldin.

    Decisions... decisions...

The echo designers made the Echo-e and -v to fit the Ego, not the Riva. No way to make it universal since the cones for those two battery types are different. The echo carts are designed for the Echo, they hold more liquid than the Echo e and v models, because they don't have to incorporate...

The Riva is a manual, correct. The regular threaded echo carts do work on it, but it leaves about a 3/8" gap that's not so pretty. If yer handy you could probably fill that gap. The echo carts for the Riva still leave about 1/8" gap, still not perfectly attractive.

I have both, the Riva (901 version) and the Echo. The Echo-e cartos produce more vapor, but I get a hint of burned flavor with my VG juices. The Echo batt is excellent as far as the auto aspect goes, and there's plenty of vapor there to satisfy me. The only annoyance I find is the battery...

I pulled it apart a bit ago, cleaned the filler, and dry-burned the atty. Can't put it back together because I don't have the necessary straws to do so. Have to go hunting tomorrow.

I use home-brew VG juice in mine. I've put about 15mL through one carto since last Friday. I think it's starting to gum the atty up, because the vapor amounts are dropping. I'm gonna try to pull the filler out of it tonight once I vape it down a bit more.

They need to correct it or include a charger for each battery in the kit.

The new Echo-e cartos for Riva and Ego batteries

You can use the tips from the 801 penstyle, or you can twist and push the rubber tips on further and they will stay. I use a syringe, so I can't tell you how many drops. Also, drops are very subjective, I have some bottles that give small drops and others that give very large drops, and some...

    Yowzers! It's hot outside

It was only 37% when I checked this afternoon, so not too bad. It was just the first real hot one of the season, gotta get used to it again.

I can say that the blue tipped ones that I got do have a 5 second cutoff. I hit it everytime I puff on it, but it's no big deal, release quickly and puff again. Not like other models that I used that forced you to wait for 10 seconds before you could take another drag.

I don't disagree with him, but from what I've experienced in 18 months of vaping, the batteries will die of being dropped/abused/etc long before they will be destroyed by a 1c charge rate. At 1c, the realistic lifespan is over 300 charge cycles on Li-Ion tech. For most of us this is nearly a...

    Yowzers! It's hot outside

Went out for a ride on the bike today, thinking it looked like a beautiful day. I wasn't wrong, except there must be a fresh hole in the ozone layer right over the upstate. Good golly it's hot out there. I passed by a bank sign that showed 100 degrees, and it's May.

I cut apart a KR808 CE2 carto and made up a charging connector for the ego to my hobby batt charger. Checked polarity by sucking on the tube and it is center positive. I then plugged it into my hobby charger and set it for .1a (100ma for testing purposes). Doesn't work, the smart circuitry in...

Either the battery is not of the advertised capacity, the charger is mislabeled, or the charger is not very well regulated. I'm going to sit down at my bench today with a meter and see if I can figure out what is different in initiatiation between the Riva and Echo. Then I will see if I...

Yeah, that would be mathematically impossible. But, I'm used to these manuals being less than correct, so not a huge surprise. Thanks to those who are digging into this, current and future Echo users appreciate it.

Just to clarify, the wall wart portion is just a 5v 500ma power supply. The "adapter" is the actual charger. You could feed the charger with 2 amps off of a powered USB hub, and it will still charge at 150ma. My 1300 batt has been on the charger since 3pm... still charging.

I use 100% VG in mine, but heavily thinned with Everclear. No burning problems.

By the way, not raining on the Echo parade here with the charging concerns. Love this unit other than the charge time. My Rivas are 901 threaded, but I still needed a couple 808-901 adapters to get it to make contact with the Echo battery. Unfortunately, no joy :(.

Anyone found a charger that will work on these other than the stock charger? Li-Ion tech is good for at least 1C charge rates (some up to 5C). This should mean that we could safely charge the big ones at 1300ma and the small ones at 650ma allowing 1 hour charge rates. The stock charger's weak...
