    Yes, that's correct. SP4 is only needed for the DNA250. I updated because I have the Triade DNA250's. PS If you have V1.2 SP3 then you may need to apply the firmware update to the mod. When you hook up the mod you should see Blue writing near the top left corner of the General Tab that says...

    If you click on help at the top of Escribe. Then click on about Escribe it should say Either V1.2 SP3 or SP4. Mine says SP4 because I added the update for the DNA250 chip.
