just a quick reply to a tobacco co. you mentioned. I wish the Gawith-Hoggarth company would make available a long missing form of there "strong" rope tobaccos soon. I have heard from others that have extracted them, in the past, that they are wonderful. Unfortunately they have been unavailable...
I agree the the lower temperature. In fact, some of my extractions turned out with a better taste/flavor using the cold method, using long time periods, then doing them using the hot method.....
I hope you try to extract some of your own e-juice from the following tobaccos. It is NOT hard. even I can do a cold extraction, LOL! I guarantee a "strong flavor" with the following from Garith Hoggarth and Company:
Dark Birds Eye
Black Twist Sliced
Sweet Maple Twist
Hi Exchanger, I meant the raw leaves taste like the variety they they are and do turn out an enjoyable liquid. However, pipe tobacco of a certain tobacco often are processed/cased/ "flavorized" (fruits, candies,etc.) and do not represent the leaf itself. So to compare the two I simply stated one...

the "raw" leaves do not translate like the processed ones in, say pipe tobacco, to e-liquid.
I believe the Perique leaves have gone through the traditional cask aging though.
Nope a lot is made from Burley not from there, but is put in barrels/casks and aged similarly like the "real Perique" tobacco, of which there is only one or two farms raising it in St. James Parish!
After trying a few "Perique" e-liquids mixed with Virginia or the straight "blending Perique, I have to wonder which are the true St. James Parish Perique and which are the ones "made in the Perique "style."
Some state they are St. James Perique others just say Perique, but do come from...
