I would have to agree. Patriot and Nightcap are not at all similar. Nightcap is a hardcore Latakia with a touch of Virginia and a hint of Perique. It is as strong a Latakia as it gets. I would liken Nightcap to Apache from MOV.

Patriot on the other hand is nectar of the Gods. Perique, Burley and Cavendish blend. Nom nom nom!!

Funny thing how taste buds differ. Nightcap to me is a complete opposite to Patriot. One of MVJ's that was close for me is: STP MVJ's Centurion Tobacco - Original, Steeped to Perfection Vape Juice, MyVapeJuice, LLC
LOL. Yes our taste buds are quite different. Centurion, I never had but if I get a chance will order a sample. Overall, Patriot is a unique tobacco. If I recall correctly, it is not extraction of a pipe tobacco but an effort by a tobacco expert to design a vape juice.I guess nothing is very close to it. From each other tobacco we may get a part of it.
It is strange, now that I am writing about it, I just want to vape it. Going to juice up my tank.

Wow, if I was asked what is close to MVJ night cap I would say Apache, if Night cap uses extra shot. My taste buds must be different since I feel Apache being close to Patriot as well as well as London. I have finished my Night cap few weeks ago, but just a minute ago started vaping Patriot in a Gem with SS mesh. The vape would be as close as pure as I can get. It is going to take the whole day for me to vape a tank. Tomorrow I am going to have Apache in the same set up after dry burning for a better comparison. I get Perique very well, but Burley I can't get in almost anything. Maybe the result of 30 years of smoking. I don't know.

After trying a few "Perique" e-liquids mixed with Virginia or the straight "blending Perique, I have to wonder which are the true St. James Parish Perique and which are the ones "made in the Perique "style."
Some state they are St. James Perique others just say Perique, but do come from there. The others, I don't know.....

I guess Perique is Just from St. James Louisiana or it is ought to be.

Nope a lot is made from Burley not from there, but is put in barrels/casks and aged similarly like the "real Perique" tobacco, of which there is only one or two farms raising it in St. James Parish!

I'm really starting to think I'm not cut out for NETs. I have about 15+ bottles of various sizes, ratios, strengths, and vendors and they are all weak to my pallet :(

Some have been steeping for 2 months, some have been for 6+ months with little to no change. I've been trying to find a NET of any ACID brand cigars (by Drew Estate) that has a lot of flavor. I've tried Blonde by W2V, and H+, C-Note, and SPEC OPS by N.E.T. All are weak.

The only two flavors that really do it for me are London Blend from Want2Vape, and Pumpkin Pie Tobacco from N.E.T.

I've tried blends that I used to smoke from MVJ such as Nightcap, and Ashton varieties and they are also just too weak... even with a flavor shot!

I've also tried these on everything from a CE4 up to .3 Ohm RDAs and everything in between...

Any suggestions or help would be appreciated... I've been vaping for 11 months, and I have no intentions of going back to the flame, but I would love to be able to vape some of my favorite blends.

Extract your own. It's not hard and you can control the flavor entirely. There's an entire subforum on extraction.

Note that vaping an extract will taste different than smoking the tobacco. You can't reproduce the taste imparted by combustion. Oh, and cigars are harder to get flavor out of. Most of us do pipe tobacco.

What wattage are you vaping at?

Tried it all... 11w on a Nautilus & Mini, 28 on an Atlantis V1, 30w on a Kanger Subtank Plus, 55 - 75w on my RDAs. Depends on what I am using

Wow.. this is going to be tough to decipher. You've named some really flavourful juices, but find them weak. Hmmm..let's get some more information from you.

What wicking medium do you use?
Vaping style (mouth to lung or lung hitting?)
Air flow? Restricted or wide open?
What kind of juices do you normally vape where you get full flavour/strength?

Exactly my problem :(

-I use cotton. Ko Gen Do (sp?) or OC Coils when available (for the tanks) The only silica I've used is the CE4 (got it for free from W2V :thumb:)

-I do both! But for NETs the flavor I do get seems better with MtL to me... but because I smoked pipes, I usually exhale through the nose, never inhaling. I have tried it though, and don;t really notice a difference other than a but of a stomach ache :(

-For my RDAs its usually half open. (Mutation X series v2, v3, and v4) The Nautilus is one smaller than the largest. I also got a IGO-W to build higher on thinking that was the issue.

-Usually bakery, fruit, cereal, and RY4-type juices. I can do anything though really (as long as it's not lemon, or cherry).

I really appreciate the help :D

Based on this list I suggest turning the power down. Think of it like smoking.... Do you get the best flavor when the flame is held to the bowl/stick or after it is removed?

Well, everything seems to be fine with wicking and vaping style. You're ok with sweeter juices (bakery and fruit styles) but find NETs weak..damn!

Why do the hardest cases usually walk in on Friday? (sorry, this may be related to my job, and not you specifically! :D)

I'd give this a shot Liskrig. I'm a 20W vaper myself on .5ohm coils. Subtank Mini wide open.

No offense taken! I'm very grateful :)

I may just still have it in my mind that there is no combustion happening... The most authentic NET I have tried was London Blend by W2V. No lack of flavor there, and my review is true to this day; "If I were to close my eyes, I would not know the difference between this and my briar."

I think a lot of folks find NETs better at lower power. I do most of mine at 15-16 watts on a 1.5 coil (give or take). Really high power and sub-ohming, I think, just burns the long-chain flavor in an NET. I don't have any science to prove that, just my own thinking.
