That cracking is probably the juice.
BTW, completely off topic (well sort of), has anyone heard of fused quartz for tanks? There's some discussion the the Zenesis thread (www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/e-cigarette-suppliers-forum/245748-house-hybrids-featuring-zenesis-pv-356.html#post5334184)...
Haven't tried Vapor Station (yet). So much juice, so little time! If you do try a sample from Ahlusion, the flavor does deepen if you can let it steep for a few weeks. Just found that out when I got 30 ml and tried it right away--flavor wasn't as intense as my steeped juice. I do really like...
I very occasionally get juice in my mouth from over-wicking and/or condensation but it is pretty rare. Certainly, nothing like what I would get with CE2s!
Yup! It's harder to fill with 100% VG so you have to put a little in and then let it ooze down the side--too much or too quickly and it will cover up and leak down the center post. But once it's in, I think it wicks well and I haven't had any issues, though you may have to turn it upside down...
Thread on wicks: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modding-forum/262201-mcmaster-wicks.html
I got some wick from COV (for iatty supplies) which was cheap but they were a lot thinner than I was expecting--you pretty much have use two (maybe three) to get the right thickness. I'd love to...
Ok, just used 32g kanthal for 5 wraps (on two tanks) and compared to 4 wraps (on two tanks).
As measured on a Provari:
5 wraps: 2.1, 2.2
4 wraps: 1.8, 1.9

I use 32g kanthal. There's a discussion of other coils on the thread (http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/atomizer-mods/263355-gotvapes-stardust-how-re-wick-replace-coil.html)--some people like the nichrome. Anyway, just saying that you can definitely alter the ohms by varying the gauge of...
I get a bad taste with the kanthal if I just use it off the spool. But if I run a flame over it until it turns red and then wash it, I don't get that taste (not sure if that's the iron taste you mean). That said, you've made me curious about the N80!
I think it is polycarbonate (I've heard of clouding on some tanks). I tried to color one of mine and it got brittle so may need to take care. Are your juices high in cinnamon or citric acids?
Oy! That's a pretty extreme solution to loosen the draw! I find that the more you use a Stardust, the easier the draw gets, especially if you pull the tank off and push it back on for cleaning.
These look interesting and I may pick one up when the Stardusts finally come in, but the only review I've seen wasn't very kind to it (easystreetvapin on Youtube) so I'll be curious to what Lord Davon has to say. I'm kind of hooked on the Stardusts and wonder if I really need any other...
