I've had some juice in the mouthpiece which I always thought was from condescension or maybe just slight flooding. I've never had juice actually come out of the battery post. Could it be that you're dripping it into the center and not tilting it enough when filling it or just over filling it?
The multimeter test is to make sure you don't have a short and damage the battery (as well as checking the ohms). I believe the Provari won't work if there's a short so that should be fine.
Please jump to the thread on how to change the wick in the mod forum. I wanted to make sure it is posted there where are are plenty of disclaimers and warnings. Hope it helps!
Here is my video on how to re-wick and replace the coil on the Gotvapes Stardust. This just released clearomizer is extremely well designed and should survive for quite awhile. Probably the seals would be the first to go (and if you can figure out how to replace those, they may last years)...
Below is the video I saw with the loosely twisted ceramic from McMasters which is what I thought looked pretty cool. Rope show begins at about 5:55. (Video is how to create a dual coil on the iAtty.)
Should add that Clouds of Vapor sells wick for the iAtty. And also coil (though the coil is 36 awg and the one I got from eBay is 32 which works pretty well for my purposes).
Really easy to fill if you pull off the inner silicon stopper (but there's also holes if you prefer syringes. However, I get a lot of gurgling if its not kept upright. I would not store it flat (assume you mean horizontal). That said, I've never had any leaking in the mouth.
Yeah, stay away from "tightly braided". Unfortunately, the silica only comes that way. If I ever use it up, I'll go with the loosely braided ceramic.
I've never heard of Nextel XC-116. Does it wick well? I googled it and seems pretty interesting!
I'm a guy and I got a purple! (Okay, I'm also gay...)
Mine gurgled a lot at first but eventually that went away, though it returns if you tip it at all. It's a pretty airy draw overall. I like that you can lift the silicon seal up to keep it away from the coil. So far, I like it better than the...
I ordered some silica rope from McMasters and kind of regret it. It's really tightly braided and I have trouble unwinding it to get some good wicks (or seems like I'm wasting a lot).
I saw someone on youtube using McMasters ceramic rope for wicks, and he got this loosely twisted stuff that...
I wasn't a fan of the v.1 (got two) and have already ordered two vision grande's so I'll pass on these to see what others say. I never had problem with leaking, it was a chemical taste and burning of the silicon nipple (which I cut up and still get a taste). (I have bad luck with tanks in...
I used a CE2 wick which is thinner but left it long so it runs down the side of the tank. I did rewire by re-using the old coil (unwind it and wrap it around the new wick) That's not something I recommend because it's so tiny, its hard to warp around the wick! I ordered some new wick and wire...
Posted this on its own thread but may as well link it here as well. Note that not everyone likes taking off the tank! May want to look at Lord Davon's video as well.
