Stardust how long are yours lasting?

I bought six and they arrived a little over 2 weeks ago. In those two weeks, I opened three (to swap different flavors) and, of those three, one has died (which I've resuscitated by re-wicking). I opened a fourth one but it's only about a week old. This means I have 2 unopened! Oh, this is...

    Stardust: Advanced Cleaning

Yeah, don't do it if you have arthritis if you think it may be too difficult. Definitely not worth the pain in that case! For me, I prefer cleaning it this way now, but others seem to like the simpler wash with the tank on. Whatever works for you is the best way!

    Stardust: Advanced Cleaning

That's fantastic! (Of course, you tell me this after I've ordered wicking and wire!)

    Stardust: Advanced Cleaning

Whatever works for you, works for you! Personally, I find taking the tank off really easy at this point and that cleaning and dry burning is much simpler. As badkolo said, after the first few times, it's easier to take on and off. Cleaning takes me under 5 minutes now--the video just may make...

    Stardust: Advanced Cleaning

Great with yoru good success! For the dead one that I re-wicked, the wick looked like charcoal and was definitely crumbly, so yeah I think that's the first to go. You can actually re-use the coil, though (or one from an old CE2) and re-use a CE2 wick (have to re-wrap it). However, I've ordered...

    Stardust: Advanced Cleaning

Here's an update on cleaning the Stardust, since we've discovered that you can actually take it apart!

    Stardust died

Yeah, I think so but not positive. It inserts into the silicon sleeve to connect with the inner coil. However, its not that hard to get out if you use a screwdriver or something and stick it in the opposite end and push it out. I have no idea how the Russian got his out with a pen knife but that...

    Stardust: Provari and Cleaning

Definitely. I tried taking one off once but I was trying to detach it from the skirt which makes me an idiot. But after watching the Russian video on the other thread, I wa able to take one off and it will definitely help with cleaning and drying. Only downside I can see is pulling it on and off...

    Stardust died

Sounds like you're doing it right. I used a thin needle, placed the cord on top of it, wrapped the coil around both, then pulled out the needle. It seemed pretty tight (but not as good as the ole Russian). The trickier part is getting one end of the coil inside the silicon cylinder and one...

    Stardust died

It's also kind of neat having longer wicks. I should mention the old wick was pretty charcoaly and crumbly and that's probably what will fail first. I think I'll get some extra wick and coil wire for GG's. That should work, no?

    Stardust died

I had one Stardust that had truly died so thought to try out changing the wick per the Russian video and.... I did it! I changed a wick! I used an old CE2 wick and repurposed the coil so its not the thick wick and the ohms are reading 3.1 but it works. Makes me more confident to do this in...

    Stardust died

Do you think you need to actually remove the center post to re-wick? It seems like you just need one wire going inside the silicon cylinder and one outside for positive/negative.

this is kind of a bumer!!!

I have the same issue with the Stone Tanks. I got two and one of them I can't figure out how to remove the chemical taste (it's currently soaking in vodka). My other one I burned the wicks black and broke one in half. I've carved up the silicon nipple cap to help it wick better and scoop out the...

    * ON SALE NOW * GV VISION EGO STARDUST 1.4 Sealed easy fill Special Top COIL, No WICKS HANGING, 2.5 to 2.7ohms, THICK COIL so break em in.

I really don't mind paying up for a good product. I think $5.95 is a good deal (5% with signing up for the newsletter!). I'd like to see discounts for bulk orders of 5 or 10. Again, compare it to a pack of cigs -- and Stardusts last much longer than a pack. Still, as I said, supply and demand...

There's also a little thing called supply and demand. There's obviously a demand and supply (right now) is almost nonexistent. Someone pointed me to google CE4+ but the only thing I found was a site in China, which admittedly sold them very low, but with a minimum order of 500 units... and...

Then, again, $7.95 is the price of one pack of cigarettes! As more venders carry them, the price at Gotvapes will most likely go down. Viva the free market! (Would like to know where they're cheaper, though...)

    C2 and C3

There's a difference between the CE4 and CE4 Plus (at least when I google it). The "plus" appears to be the Gotvapes Stardust which has gotten rave reviews. There's not much about the CE4 except one brutal youtube review from a dude in the UK: Review of the CE4 eGo Clearomizers - YouTube
