I've ordered a lot of 50/50 just because I don't know what I'm doing...
However, if I order from somewhere that has a recommendation of the best mix for the flavor, I'll go with that.
Once I did order some 100% VG because I thought it may be healthier. (I mean it has the word...
I hear a lot of great stuff about Volt. I started with Bloog which is allegedly very similar (but Volt is more reasonably priced) and really liked it before graduating to the KGO. I used to use the the bloog with a fluxo, which was like some snazzy, colourful wand!
I'd suggest KGO from Hoosiers but they seem to be sold out. :(
I really like the look of the t-rex and 310vapers has a kit that doesn't have a ton of packing in a fancy box which will eventually go into a landfill; rather, they give you a snazzy carrying case (meh, doesn't take much to impress...
IMHO, when a fluxo is working perfectly, I don't think there's that much difference in flavor, vapor, etc. However, the key word here is "when" the fluxo is working perfectly. As everyone knows, they can be fiddly, leaky and generally high maintenance. (I've been using both SD and fluxos...
Cleaning Update: I've been lifting the silicon/washer cap up to better clean the coil/wick per Lord Davon and that does help, but I had one Stardust that really had an off taste. We clean atomizers by soaking them in vodka so I thought why not give it a try. I filled the Stardust half-way with...
Andrew Sullivan's blog linked to this interesting commentary in Reason looking at a new study that shows nicotine patches aren't very effective. Money quote:
Nice! I just posted a cleaning video without seeing yours first. I like how you pull up the silicon cap/washer. I've done that before but didn't notice a difference. Maybe I'll try again!
I thought to do another Stardust video, this one to show it on a Provari and how I clean them. There may be a better way to clean them but this seems to work ok. I have pulled the silicon and washer out but I'm not sure if that really helps with cleaning it (though it's not that hard to put back...
Stardust by far! You need to be delicate with cleaning, though. Fair warning! Badkolo, if you read this, I'd really love a way to be able to easily pull the tank off the Stardust to make cleaning easier. Not sure how practical/doable that is without compromising the seal but it would go a long...
I'll try playing with the cup/silicon cap.
I'm using a Provari and had it at 3.5 volts (higher gets really bad). Maybe I'll drop it to 3.3 (but that's the bottom of the Provari). I actually haven't tested it on a KGO so maybe I'll do that first. Large tanks on a KGO remind me of lollipops!
Well, I'm just guessing the chemical (silicon?) taste is because the juice isn't getting into the cup. I could be wrong though! Maybe the silicon is too tight and burning? I'll try fiddling with the wicks or something before I carve into the silicon. Yeah, my Stone vapes great too, it just...
I haven't had any luck with the Stone. The chemical taste keeps creeping back, even after washing, peroxide, different juices, etc. (3.5 volts on a Provari, anything higher it just gets worse). Granted, I haven't really tried very hard to make it work, because I've just been using the Stardust...
I used to love CE2s but they can be high maintenance (learning curve, fiddly, etc.). You've been warned!
My new love is the Stardust from Gotvapes (works great on kgo/ego, etc.) but they're hard to come by now because they keep getting sold out!
I chose the KGO after going through video reviews on Youtube (1100 mah, 2 bats for ~$45 on Hoosiers). 1100 mah lasts me a full day and its nice to swap to a fresh battery every morning.
Resurrection! As I mentioned a few posts back, one of my Stardusts died after cleaning, so I thought I'd try and take it apart. Getting the glass tank off was a lesson in futility -- I never did get it off, though I did saw through the base of it a little bit. Then on a whim, I stuck a tool in...
I heard 3 weeks.
As a follow-up question on how you clean your Stardusts, what about when do you clean them? I like swapping juices a lot but do you really need to clean them between different juices? I'm wondering if you can't just vape through any overlap that may be on the wick.
