Good idea!! I was trying wax, vaseline, spit anything, because the wick parts I have are the leftover snippets from the threaded ones I bought, so they are rather short... but that is a good idea, I'll try. I did, thank you! I have done mine before without issue, but this one is wound so small, a stickpin won't fit through. I love the idea about screwing the kanthal for even wraps, may have to go to the hardware store, good job!!! Thanks!- PinkEgoTUser

I rebuild them all the time, but this is the first time I have purchased "pre-coiled" and when I did my own wraps, they were twice the size, when tight, the hole is so so small, I can't imagine pulling/pushing something through it. Okay, finally awake enough to put this properly. I know how to make my own coils, but my issue here is the coil is SO SMALL, it's snug on the pin part on the back of a "Birthday" Button or whatever!
