    I would stay away from the automatic batteries. Mostly because they are not sealed and if you get juice in the connector you will kill the battery. A 510 is a great started kit and as you upgrade/change cartos/ce2s etc. they are a very common thread and you will be able to buy interchangeable...

    I usually either refill the tank with the same flavor or let it go down the drain if I am changing cartos/flavors. Sometimes if the new flavor is in the same family (i.e citrus) I will just refill with the new flavor and leave the small amount in the tank.
