I would recommend any mod that uses 2 3v batteries and use it with a high voltage atty. I'm using a Chuck @6v with a HV 801 atty and I couldn't be happier with it. The standard attys @6v would burn the juice and I hated it. The HV atty from Nhaler is sweet and I've been abusing it for 3 weeks...

On the battery thing, try rubbing alcohol on a paper towel. You could also lightly buff it with a piece of fine grit sandpaper.
