    To kinda simulate it you can cut off the end of the plastic carto protective cap, and slide it over the tip of the battery. You can easily see when the led is lit. I can imagine what a nice ring would look like...maybe a mood ring..lol

    I top mine off every couple of days but I am rotating between a few carto's. I never wait for them to get dry. They will last longer but eventually they do burn out or get to the point they are not very usable. Whenever I taste the burnt taste I toss it.
