How does my DID air hole not line up anymore?
Ah ....- didn't think of the toxicity angle, sorry to mislead! When I recieved my mini DID, right out of the package the threads were gunked up pretty good and wouldn't screw down all the way. I just used some vg and q-tips to clean them out first and then put some more on to the threads and it... -

Anybody else do this?
I torch my kanthal. It shows you any soft spots that would snap when fired (more in a roll than you'd think unless I got shoddy wire) and yes it does help keep it in its place. If you don't heat treat then it expands away from wick once its fired in my experience.- JPoodles

Looking for a Genesis-style clone that fits FLUSH on an eGo battery. Line v2?
this is the mini DID on a kgovv. I did purchase a DUD first (after being told that it fit flush) but found out that its outer diameter is 16mm and (as we know) the ego styles are 14mm. I had plenty of practice with a phoenix setup with ss mesh but if you don't have experience you may still want... -

yeah like a sushi roller, aluminum foil...huh...good one. I use cork (earlier thread) cuz it grips well but gives a little so your fingers dont chew up. The board trick works well but I'm a little tactile oriented. Thanx for letting me know what a Jack Frost was! Tried to reference it...- JPoodles

Just Stainless Steel Wick and Filler
I'm using a DiD now and have the wick set loose enuff to pull out of coil. I dry burn off the gunk every couple o days and when my wick is out I torch it. IMO that cleans it as good as day one. Thanx for the nudge to DiD BJ43- way better than my attempt at a rebuildable ego-t:oops:- JPoodles

My top cap only screws down a tiny bit. A good push and it pops off. Think its cuz of the oring but don't want to take it off and suffer leaks from condensation. Any suggestions? -
