    Tired of carts

I drip about 95% of the time myself. You'll find a use for carts I'm sure so don't write them off completely. I use a penstyle atty, which can handle a fair bit of drops, so 5 drops of liquid on the atty lasts me a decent little bit. By the time it's ready for more liquid, I don't feel it...

    How to spend a Saturday

2 full days of heavy use, my 2400mAh Ultrafire 18650 is sitting at 3.9v. Gotta love it!

    Converting % in milligrams

The matter complicates further as some people are reporting as needing far higher strength nic-liquid in order to feel like they are getting enough to stay off of analogs. Sometimes double the strength of Dekang's highest level, of 24mg. Which goes against my personal experience. The big...

Penstyle 5V USB Passthrough Done, Finally!

Well I appreciate your kind words, but to me this was sloppy! It works though, which at the end of the day is all that matters, especially when the sloppyness is mainly contained within the box  I guess we'll see, my main atty that I'm using now is being sent through the gauntlet, 3.6v...

    Chuck atomizer blowouts! HELP!

My understanding, the LiFePO4 batteries will last longer, meaning, more charge cycles, than the standard Lithium Ion rechargeables, but the technology is still new, so who knows for sure. LiFePO4 are boasting 2000 charge cycles, whereas standard Lithium Ion rechargeables around 1000-1200 charge...

    Chuck atomizer blowouts! HELP!

I don't have both sets to give you a comparison between the two. In theory, the 900mAh should last noticably longer, but keep in mind the two batteries have different chemical properties. LiFePO4 is Lithium iron phosphate. They are said to last longer than standard Lithium Ion rechargable...

    Chuck atomizer blowouts! HELP!

I have heard mixed reviews about the 900mAh RCR123A batteries, so I decided to just go with the 750mAh. Your best deal is likely going to come from dealextreme, but the shipping takes forever. I did order this on Friday, and they should still offer the free shipping on it if you use...

    Variable voltage?

There are a lot of variables when it comes to atomizers, quite a few in fact. The voltage they are designed to run at is 3.7v, but of course, we have discovered that they can run at higher voltage, with proper care. In my case, I decided to go with the Penstyle atomizers (aka 801, BE112...

    Converting % in milligrams

I smoked roughly 20-25 Marlboro Light Menthol cigarettes a day at ~0.7mg per cigarette. I was able to quit smoking analogs on the first day of vaping using 16mg liquid. I use about 3ml of liquid per day at 12mg strength. I do use the occasional 20-24mg strength, but only for a jump start in...

    Chuck atomizer blowouts! HELP!

The protection comes in the form of a PCB circuit. They have them integrated into batteries and chargers, it prevents the battery from reaching a voltage higher than X value and lower than Y value also known as over-voltage or under-voltage protection. So, both do, yes. Unprotected batteries...

After 3 weeks clean, I smoked an analog tonight...

Not to divert from the thread, but I suppose it still is on-topic. If you are handy and worry that one day you may not have batteries, here's how it's done. Of course, it can get much simpler than what Cisco has done here...

    How to spend a Saturday

I added the link into my post. It's basically just a staple that's bent in a way that it slides into the hole at the end of the atomizer. It provides a way for the center post to make contact, when the threads on the atomizer won't allow the posts to contact and receive the positive charge.

    How to spend a Saturday

It does. I have to use a staple mod to get it to fire, but it works just fine with that. I have also tried Kissbox atomizers, and they seem to make better contact, but I have one that likes a staple mod as well...

    How to spend a Saturday

Can't wait to hear what you think of the 18650 when you get it. From everything that I can tell, the throat hit, vapor, etc, it's all the same, it's just slower going. I vaped at 6V for about 2 hours today just for grins, but I'm back using the 18650's again (just got my Protected batteries...

After 3 weeks clean, I smoked an analog tonight...

I was in a similar situation just this week. I resorted to Snus instead of analogs to tie me over for about 24 hours while I waited for my new PV to arrive. I was lucky that I had one inbound prior to my main PV dieing. Moral of the story, have backups, always. I even went as far as to build...

Can I just add flavor to a sample?

The short answer is yes. Flavor concentrations can vary from one flavor to another, as well as the different brands. Stay away from flavoring with sugars for sure, as they are not good for your atomizer.

    How to spend a Saturday

If you wanted to try it at 6V, you could pick up a couple of non-rechargable lithium CR123A cells rated at 3V each. 2 of them will fit nicely in the Chuck, they are 1mm less in diameter, and about 4mm longer, compared to an 18650 cell.
