Wow....with that regulator I'm surprised to hear that. If you replace entire chipset (pretty cheap to do), leave the wiring long that runs down the length of the chip and board so you have slack between the wires and the top of the regulator. Some 8-10mm square alum tubing from a hobby store... -
Help with mod, stripped 510 threads.
Dunno what it is..... I see two possibilites: The one I posted or replace the connector. But, I wouldn't attempt that unless I KNEW for a fact I had access in the head to run the wiring. I'd friction in new threads because I know that works. That's just me; maybe someone else has...- Para

I've not seen a battery company that doesn't lie about it's mah rating....some worse than others. I saw some 10440's listed as 880mah; no possible way that's correct... I'm saving WB's chart he posted; good info right there- Para

Could be a bad solder connection; but why the hot glue? That chip runs HOT in the air much less being encased. If you replace the board/regulator, skip the hot glue and add a heatsink. JMO -
GG Stealth -Brass!
Looks great; especially the brass accents. Maybe Imeo will make more of those old style dome brass and my other favorite....the flat top. As a bonus the throw is adjustable on the old ones. I love me some brass. -

Same here...... I've put the Kick through the paces with every attachment I can think of and I end up, as a personal preference, in that range. Even with higher wattage options with the Darwin, 12 watts eliminates flavor. I don't get why anyone wants to vape at extreme wattage levels. But...- Para

Help with mod, stripped 510 threads.
No way to know since there's no pictures; but here's one possible solution. Mod a 510 battery connector and use it as a replacement. Here's a stripped out GGTS connector I repaired using that technique. Prep the old connector by grinding out the old threads......cut down the new...- Para

Dunno....don't use it. I use really cheapo acid based flux from China for SS soldering and it works like a charm. I think I got it from Deal Extreme, but it's been a while.- Para
