In this case you could flip the battery around and run the positive threw the case. Center post on the atomizer connector would be ground. You would wire it up exactly like the schematics in the first post.
If it was me i would just slap a P channel mosfet in it then you wouldnt have to flip...
The us18650gr is a sony UNPROTECTED 2550 mah 18650 li ion 3.7 volt li ion battery. They are mainly used for making laptop battery packs. When making the packs a protection circuit is added so they dont blow up. These batteries should not be used unless a protection circuit is added
You cant just switch the battery around , If you want the touch switch to work off a ground you would need to use a P channel mosfet rather then a N channel. P channel switches a positive voltage and turns on when a negative voltage is applied to the gate. A N channel mosfet switches a Negative...
As long as the mosfet gets good saturation they add very little resistance to the circuit. The data sheet has it @ 16 milli ohms with a gate voltage of 4.5 volts. So say your atomizer plus circuit is 2.410 ohms it would only make the total go up to 2.426 ohms. You will actually find that push...
voltage drop under load varies by the regulator. Linear regulators will give a pretty good drop under load even some of the cheaper older switching regs will drop a bit. The PTR08100w is a finely tuned switching module. The tests i have done with it under load it drops less then 3 thousands of a...
Send away , still not around too much. I moved from AZ to Colorado so been pretty busy trying to settle down. But i will get back to you as soon as possible
A irl3103 mosfet should work fine in the 3 volt range. Gate voltage is rated up to 16 volts. The gate threshold voltage is 1 volt. The threshold voltage is the one you have to watch out for. If you used 1 volt to the gate to turn it on it would not fully saturate the mosfet which will cause it...
yeah pretty much worthless, the average ohms for a atomizer is 2.4 ohms. So on a 1000 ohm scale it is not going to move the needle much. Might want to check out Harbor Freight for free multi meter coupons they have that deal going on quite a bit. The meters are not great but for free it is not...
I doubt 3 nimh's will run the booster very well if at all. The voltage drop more then likely will shut the circuit off after a second or 2 vaping. You really are going to be better off looking into high drain batteries if you want to run a booster. I wouldn't run a boost circuit off anything...
As far as the trimmer goes the center post would go to the adjust pin and the the outer pins would go to ground. Some folks just use two pins which will work as long as one of them is the center. That technically makes it a rheostat rather then a pot. Either way should work fine though
Thats a bit passed the recommend charge current but would work if you have the ego circuitry inside your mod. Ideal charge current for a 750 mah battery would be 375mA.Ego chargers are 420mA. Without the ego circuitry it wont charge unless you have the switch pressed. So it is doubtful you can...
What value resistor are you using from gate to source? To low a resistance and you wont fully saturate the mosfet. Also what Mosfet did you end up using?
Ok i was pretty close thought you wanted the slide switch to fire the atty. My schematic will still work just slap the momentary switch in the loop that goes from the top pole on the right side of the switch to the bottom pole. That will give you everything you want.
If you ask me that would be a perfect size for through hole soldering. If you ever had any medium to large SMD work to do it should work for it too, Although the smaller SMD package sizes might be a bit tricky i use .020 sized solder for it
The meter is off in the off position of the switch. Just gave him what he asked for. Personally i wouldn't want a slide switch firing the atomizer , But each to there own.
He wants the switch to also fire the atomizer along with the voltage meter then in the down position to just fire up the Regulator and meter and leave the atomizer off. So it needs a certain kinda switch to do that.
Here is a quick schematic i made up excuse the gettoness of it
EDIT: Should...
