    Just took apart a CE2, hoping I could mod the A-7 with what Techno posted, but the one I have doesn't have the needed silicone sleeve in it. Oh well....

    Now I'm different- if the wick is working right, I've left it in place for up to 2 weeks. I can tell when it starts to get that hint of burning taste even if I haven't burned it- I'm sure the wick caramelizes eventually from use. When I take it out, it's black.
