    There is no burning of the insulator. It just didn't work too well. I realize that it probably needed a flavor wick, but the lack of vapor production should of still been there gurgle or not.

    Okay, I've been building single coil conversions using 30ga Kanthal (7 wraps on a 5/16 drill) coming out about 2.7ohms on my VTR at about 8 watts. I mix my flavors at 50/50 PG/VG, 10% nicotine. And they work quite well. So I made up a single coil of 28ga kanthal on 5/16 drill at 12 wraps...

    I don't know Gary, I just sampled my two batches, (Hangsen Turkish Blend and RY4) and they taste like crap. So lets recap.... These were all sampled after 4 hours crockpot steep: 5%, some taste, very bland - dripped pretty good 7% same taste, still ugh - No drip 10% tasting bad - No drip...

    Final mix for the Desert Ship turned out to be 12% with 10% Nicotine in a PV/VG 50/50 mix. Nice flavor but not overpowering. I should be receiving some MFS Tobacco Absolute this week. Its already diluted. Not sure what to do with it yet. I just think that 12% is really high. My wife agrees...
