    Flavorings question

    Vodka can be pretty funky. Try to get Everclear or Golden Grain. It's 95% pure alcohol and has almost no flavor at all which makes it ideal for extractions.

    Whoops! My bad!. It does in fact have a "safe" feature to save your atomizer. Works same as a battery, but seems to take a much longer draw before it kicks in. Also, seems to recover almost immediately.

    Welcome! If you want to stick with small, I can't recommend a 901 more. If you want more juice and battery capacity go with a penstyle. I started with an ebay special as well. Best i can say about it is that it was cheap and that it eventually led me here! :thumb:

    LOL, yeah the battery's paint does look weird in the photo. But look at the batts in the box, looks normal to me. I think you're fine if you got it for cheap. Never know, you might get 3 months out of it!

    Wick material experiment...

    I am thinking the cotton fibers in the lamp wick might scorch and taste like crud. The kevlar is basically fiberglass so scorching shouldn't be an issue.

    From the reading I've done, the USP designation is the greatest "official" assurance of purity available. 99.5% pure. I think Glycerine is Glycerine at those purity levels. However, whether it's *completely* safe to vape glycerine in the first place.....

    You can get Humco Glycerin USP at Wal-Mart in the pharmacy. It will be in the area with Cortaid, Lanocane and other skin care products. Costs about $3 for a bottle. I've used it to mellow out 36mg juice on a few occasions and it works wonderfully.
