His opinion wouldn't bother me if he didn't have a conflict of interest. "Anarchist wire" is a product developed by one of his friends and he is constantly pushing it. The funny thing is that it is nothing but Nichrome80, which is 80% nickel. So, he rails against nickel but pushes a product...- BigEgo

I have no doubt that all of our metal wires (no matter what kind) are probably leaching to some degree and various studies have found metals in e-cig vapor. But so far, the amounts found are of no concern because they are below the USP safety limits. Certainly the really nasty stuff in nickel...- BigEgo

Well to be fair, he did give the DNA-40 a thumbs down and mentioned how he was sorry he had to do it because of his friendship with Evolv. I agree. I just watch reviews as a sort of demonstration of the product, it's features, etc.- BigEgo

Yeah it's unfortunate because these mods make the cotton burn test useless and make it impossible to use a thermocouple to get temp readings on a dry coil. I've seen a reviewer who claimed the D2 was 30F low on it's temperature accuracy, but he fails to realize that when using a dry coil, it is... -

Both. You can test it yourself. Somehow the chip realizes when the coil is dry and will cut power. It's not like the DNA-40 which would always fire at the set temp no matter if the coil was dry or not. I believe the SX Mini M class was the first board that did this. -

The IPV D2 won't allow you to burn the cotton in TC mode, no matter if you set it to 600F. A lot of the chips now are doing this. -
Lung cancer?
No one knows yet. I would say it's safer not to vape than to vape, but it's also certainly safer to vape than to smoke. I think the vaping industry will move more toward safety in the coming years. Temp control (a big step forward) is already here. Next I can see more examinations of...- BigEgo

My Kooper consistently reads .02 lower than my IPV-D2. Example: 0.173 vs. 0.192. And yes that little difference makes a pretty substantial difference in vape temp (at least 20-30 degrees based on feel). -

Can anyone do a resistance reading comparison on the same coil between the Koopor and another mod? Mine seems to read a bit higher than my IPVD2 on any coil I try.
