    IPV D2 yummy vape

The only difference is how fast either setting gets you to your required temperature. So in that sense, a higher J setting might produce more vapor for the first split second. Ultimately, there is diminishing returns for Joules. Once you have enough to reach the temp, then anything over...

    Titanium wire, vaping and safety

Lol me too. I just tried to put my nickel build at that temp and can't get any vapor out of it at all. I don't get vapor until about 350F even at 50J. EDIT: Just saw his reply. He's using the nickel TCR for Ti. Makes sense when I take that into account.

    Thinking about TC Mod

Temperature is the average measure of heat (or energy) in a system. In other words, heat is the total energy in a system. Temperature is the average of all the heat. That's my point exactly. The amount of power (heat) you throw at it doesn't necessarily mean that you will have a high...

I just came to this thread to see how the rich folks live. Carry on.

    Thinking about TC Mod

You're confusing temperature for heat (which is another word for energy). It's easy to see they aren't the same if you think about it for a minute. Example: You have a cup of water and a swimming pool. Both are outside next to each other in the same environment. You stick a thermometer into...

    IPV D2 yummy vape

Joules shouldn't matter with burnt hits. The Joules (or watts in other mods) are determined by the temperature. Your only goal is to set the Joules high enough so that you can reach the temp you have it set for. Anything over that and the mod will throttle the Joules back to keep it at the...

No one can tell you that. Just go watch some Youtube reviews of it. Tons of info about this kit out there.

    kangerTech Subox Mini - questions

Just prime your coil, fill the tank, put a battery in. If you're using the .5ohm coil, start at about 20 watts and work your way up. I tend to like those coils around 25 watts. Good luck. It's a good mod.

    Ipv d2 no liquid warning?

Wut? Nevermind. I saw the explanation below.

    Vaporshark - 40 or 200?

DNA-200 is the best circuit board on the market right now, by far. However, it requires a pretty hefty battery (Lipo packs) which will make such a mod quite a bit larger than the DNA-40 mods. If you just want a single 18650 mod, then either the DNA-40 or any of the newer Yihi temp control mods...

    Smallest removable 18650 mod

OP said he wants a dual 18650 mod with removable batteries. I don't know if any of them will be as small as the iStick 50 he already owns since it uses internal batteries.

    Thinking about TC Mod

Temperature has little to do with vapor production. Heat does, but heat is not the same thing as temperature.

    Thinking about TC Mod

TC serves four functions, at least in my opinion: 1) Stopping dry hits. Set your temp to 400-475 and you can vape your coil almost totally dry without burnt hits. Cotton begins searing around 420F (cotton burn test everyone on YT does), but you can go a bit higher than that before it gives a...

    Smok Koopor Mini 60w

Ok I just ordered one of these off Angelcigs. Used Vapingcheap's 10% coupon code, which brought the price down to $36.99 (shipped). I mean, I have spent too much lately, but it's hard to turn down a TC mod (that supports Ni, Ti and has TCR) for $37. If it is half as decent as people say, it...

    Smok Koopor Mini 60w

Very interested in this mod. Can't believe it's less than $40. Wish my IPV D2 had a TCR adjustment function. I mean I am satisfied with the nickel build I am using, but I like to tinker. I may have to pick this one up for that. BTW, The Bloke, do you know if the TCR differs between tempered...

TC beyond Ni200: Nickel Purity, Dicodes; Ti, SS, Resistherm NiFe30; Coefficient of Resistance

Could be because the TCR is not linear above a certain temperature. Nickel loses accuracy above 572F, which is slightly below Evolv's 600F cut-off. Many of the Chinese mods (including Yihi) set their cut-off at 572F. I don't think this is a coincidence. So, it could be the same situation...

TC beyond Ni200: Nickel Purity, Dicodes; Ti, SS, Resistherm NiFe30; Coefficient of Resistance

I think Helmrich is in the same boat that Sally's beauty supply and Ko Gen Do were in a year ago. "Why the hell are we suddenly selling out of cotton pads?" Helmrich is probably wondering the same thing with his Ti wire (although I think he is aware now of vaping).

    IPV D2 announced.

Let me correct myself. They are HG2's not HG4's. Don't want to confuse anyone. Nonetheless they are good batteries.

TC beyond Ni200: Nickel Purity, Dicodes; Ti, SS, Resistherm NiFe30; Coefficient of Resistance

I just got an IPV D2 in and have been messing around with a nickel build. My build is 0.087 at room temperature (not sure of the temp in here, but it's between 65-75F). I have it set to 450F. Whenever I vape it, the resistance maxes out at .20 to .21. By my calculations this would put it...

    IPV D2 announced.

Finally got my tempered Ni200 in today. This is my first ever nickel build. I put 8 wraps of 28 gauge around a 2.4mm bit inside the subtank mini. I think it Ohms out slightly below 0.1. Went off without a hitch on my first attempt. Vaping it at 450 F right now at 28J. Very nice vape. Not...
