Your questions have many variables... many things can change flavor... from the type of res wire you use to how many ohms and to even something as simple as how loose or tight you wrap your coils... even the type of wick you use can change flavoring a bit... then theres cleaning and how you did... -

It cant hurt to torch ceramic first better to be sure than have a bad taste and hafta do it anyway... I have no idea about pre-made wires as I myself have been twisting my own for so long... If you are having trouble I could send you the 1 I have because I make dual coils and will probably... -

Wick & Coil - How Long?
There is no standard for how long a coil lasts... it all depends on juice, abuse and mileage... Im lucky if I get 3 days from a coil but I also vape dark juices, dual coils @ 4.2v all day every day on average 7 to 10ml of juice depending on the day... not to mention each coil I make performs... -

I have used 30, 32, 34 & 36... 30 was alright, 32 is best for LV, 34 just was terrible & 36 is best for HV 2.5ohms or higher... -
