Its just a trick those with ultra sensitive taste buds can do to the Kanthal to kill the metal taste from the Kanthal... its optional and only needs to be done if you have ultra sensitve taste buds... if the metal taste doesnt bother you than you can skip this step... -

HarborFreight.com buy 2 o-ring kits one is standard one is metric they are 7 or 8 dollars each and have every o-ring you will need they are 700pc kits I believe and the only o-ring they dont have is the super tiny ones that go around the center pin on the GGTS... -

I can see how this may be frustrating but mistakes happen and you know as well as I do Bruce and his team go above an beyond the typical reseller... There is a faster cheaper solution at your local harbor freight or other hardware store... I get 700pc kits standard and metric for $7.00 each and... -

For those who have questions about Nextel & Wire....
This just came up in regard to Kanthal A1 vs. Kanthal A.... there is no big difference between the two other than A1 has a slightly higher aluminum content than Kanthal A... as for vaping purposes there are no real notable differences in performance, production or flavor... -

No problem happy to help.... but remember to really burn the heck out of that Nextel... 3 or 4 times till shes glowing bright red... you really DO NOT WANT TO VAPE THE COATING that comes on it from the factory.... You cant melt it by flame or torch so torture it like it was a witch... burn the... -

You know short mode ODY is just a dripper with a tank option... you really dont have to even use the tank really... with the mouthpiece all the way down it is a drip mode with a longer drip tip.... but then you would have a GGTS/ODY base.... which really is pure heaven and does away with the... -

For those who have questions about Nextel & Wire....
No video of me making a coil but there is a video for making 0.9ohm dual coils which should be around on this forum somewhere and thats pretty much my coil of choice usually make them between 0.8ohm & 1.0ohm for my tatses... which I find to be the closest thing to HV vaping without the risk of... -

If you plan to make coils 2.5ohm or higher up to 4ohm I suggest you purchase 36g Kanthal A1 as this is much better for larger ohm coils... 32 gage is best used for 0.8ohm to 2.5ohm coils.... -

In regards to wire.... Kanthal A1 is my wire of choice... 32g is best for coils from 0.8ohm to about 2.5 ohm... 36gage is best for HV vaping coils from 2.5 ohm up to 4ohm... both can usually be found on ebay for a great price... I also use. 999 Silver Dead Soft, 30gage for my NR wire and can be... -

Im posting this thread because I have been receiving an abundance of PM's in regards to the use of Nextel... XC-116 is the Nextel of choice... best treated by Kiln but torch or stove top works well to burn of the coating put on it at the factory... It must be heat treated before use in ODY or... -

I think we avoid Kanthal D because it gives off a flavor while vaping and Nichrome is ok but tends to use more wire to get the ohms we want than it takes to do with Kanthal A.... hope that helps a little... -

Oh boy!
Its possible you are screwing it down to tight putting pressure on the center pin which would cause small leaking... another trick is to equalize the pressure like when you blow your ears out on a plane... simply unscrew ODY from device and blow into the mouthpiece a few times into a paper... -

IMO the best Resistance wire is Kanthal A1 32gage for LV vaping 3.7v to 4.2v and 36gage for HV vaping 7.4v to 8.4v and can be found on ebay very cheap most days.... I prefer .999 silver dead soft 30gage for my NR wire and buy 95ft a half oz at a time for about $30.00 shipping included from a... -

Coils are simple they just take a little practice and patience... The best thing about ODY or Penelope is that there are 1001 different ways to make your coil of choice.... and GG stuff does it the best... from low voltage to high voltage and anything in between.. My first 3 months with iAtty... -
