LOL - I understand how sometimes these things need to wait. I think I have three or four orders set up at various places... but I don't have the money to click 'BUY' yet. Darn all those other bills and whatnot!
;)
I get mine from Perfumers Apprentice.
Liquid Ethyl Maltol
Crystalline Ethyl Maltol
Other DIY Flavorings
Quick delivery and good customer service too.

Vanilla is a difficult flavor to perfect. A lot of people, including me, find Capella Flavor Drops Vanilla Custard to be a good one. This is a flavoring, not a finished e-liquid so you can use it to augment your existing liquid.
;)
I mix my own for the most part... however I also use purchased liquid. I have some DeKang liquids and I find they are weak flavored for the most part. I am not one of those who gets the chemical taste from them. BUT I am one of those who tastes perfume in almost every V4L fruit flavor! Taste...
Most liquids are relatively inexpensive... I don't worry too much about where they come from as long as the source I'm purchasing from is reputable. If I like the liquid, I order more. If I don't, well... I don't.
I have a couple of base liquids that I use to test a new supplier or brand...
I think Carlos' JuiceBox is the only one that uses a US made atty. (He makes them himself.) I doubt very seriously that every component he uses in his JuiceBox is made in the US however. Most manufacturers buy at least some of their components.

I use Ethyl Maltol when I want to add sweetness and a bit of a caramel-ish note. I use liquid sucralose, LorAnn Marshmallow, and LorAnn Cotton Candy at other times. All of them work well depending on what flavor I'm sweetening.
;)
My watermelon liquid always does this. I make it myself. The color change doesn't change the flavor at all. You know it was freshly mixed when you see the pink color! It normally takes mine about 24 hours give or take to change color.

I am having a similar experience with Rath VG liquids. I was anticipating a load of yummy flavor, but I get barely a hint. Oh well... maybe just not for me.
I'm a shaker, however sometimes I do neglect it. I guess I need to work on perfecting that habit.

One of our cats was recently sitting in my lap while I was vaping. She stole my PV and started chewing on the mouthpiece! Nothing like that ever happened when I was smoking. ;)
I live in Virginia and I order from them all the time. Very fast shipping. Normally to my door in two or three days. HOWEVER, with all of this snow we have been having I wouldn't be surprised at all if it takes longer. Darn snow!!!

It might or it might not. Depends on what YOU want! LOL. That combination would give you the long battery life of a Kr8 battery and the vapor etc of a 510. You would still be fiddling though.
I think the adapters are great. They let me use whatever battery I happen to have on hand with...
I recommend both the Joye 510 and the Kr8 for beginners. If the person is the type that doesn't want to fiddle with stuff and just wants it to work I suggest the Kr8. When the person is a fiddler and likes to have lots of control I recommend the 510. Both are good sturdy models to start out...
Did you wash it before you used it?
I don't notice a funny taste, but a couple of other people have said something about it. Since it is for aquarium use (yes we heat it... fish don't) and fish are super sensitive to their environment I figure it probably can't be that bad for me...
