LOL... I'm almost ashamed to admit I made a rookie mistake though.
I bought the device used and it arrived in mint condition. Everything was well wrapped and packaged. The unit is very clean. No issues there at all.
Sooo..... I built the Rm4, filled the bottle with lemon custard...
Just received Reo #2 this morning.
LP Grand, black wrinkle with olive green door and Rm4, also came with white door and Origen BF and other assorted goodies.
It doesn't mean that none of them can't be used on a Reo, it just means they they would have to be modified to bottom feed.
I have 3 bottom feeders that I bought from Reosmods - an Rm2 , Rm3 (modified A6), & Rm4 (modified Atomic)
I also have a Helios and a Stillare that I modified myself and I...
Well.... anything with a standard 510 connection will "work" on a Reo But it won't bottom feed.
RDA's that are designed / modified to bottom feed AND Carto's that are BF will work.
And... the other thing I see is your coils aren't identical. The coils MUST be identical - same size and same wraps and fire at the same time AND receive the same amount of air for everything to work correctly.
+1 for what Susan said... AND.... That's the only air hole on the cap??
If so... it's only setup for single coils. You need a second hole for the other coil..
For more vapor you need more air. I would try drilling another hole in the cap for the second coil and if that doesn't work for you...
Because of the "cloud chasing" craze.
He's had to upgrade the button, contact switch and spring to accommodate extreme sub-ohm builds. That's another thing.... when you purchase a Reo - you also get "Rob". If he see's a problem, an issue or a need, he fixes it. Also if your device needs...
I've got 4 of these RTA's and I've tried countless coil configurations - the best coil I've found is a simple single wire micro coil wicked with either organic cotton or rayon. I've found the best flavor from rayon though.
On my DNA 30 device I like them at 1.5 ohm.... 28g kanthal, 9 wraps on...
Also... I've found the best flavor using rayon for wicking material. I used to be all about the organic cotton, but then I tried rayon, thanks to Kaezziel.
Try soaking everything in denture cleaner for about 20 mins and rinsing with warm water after. That machine oil can be a PITA to get rid of and taste horrible.
And... try this.... Re-wicking my Kayfun for optimal performance - YouTube.... It's the best Kayfun build I've ever done.
I own quite a few clones and they all perform very well. I have no complaints. Would I rant and rave about their performance and quality... not really. I mean they are all great quality and function flawlessly, but I wouldn't scream "you gotta try this!!" I probably wouldn't with authentic tube...
little tip.... rinse the coil and wick under water and then snip the cotton off as close to the coil on one side before removing the cotton. Won't mess up your coil that way.
For my Kayfun's, I run them on a DNA 30 device and I like them around 1.5 ohm. I use 28g kanthal, 9 wraps on a 2mm screwdriver. I run them at about 15 watts most of the time.
I'm sorry if you felt attacked, but honestly, a virtual scolding from some strangers on a discussion forum beats a battery melting down in your hand because you didn't know what you were doing.... wouldn't ya say?
Anyway... I'm glad you're on the right track now. :)
