First kayfun

What's up people,

Been dripping about a year now - finally got a kayfun lite for Convinience ( driving etc ) - I have it on a eleaf istick - built the coil around 1.6 ohm- works great, running like 16-18 watts through it and it pumps !

How frequently do you change cotton and coil?

Like I said I'm used to dripping my mutation x Gus mod - I'm assuming it's less maintainence then that .

Congrats on your new Kayfun!!

I have 4 kayfun lite + RTA's and all of them are running 1.5 ohm coils that are at least two months old. I change the wicks weekly... most of the time.

I second what Equilibrium says. I rewick my Kayfuns and Russians on average about every week to week and a half or until I start getting a charcoal like taste at about that time.

Similar here, with rayon. Although if changing flavors, I'll change wicks as well.

Same with the weekly wick change. You can dry burn the coil for a while, if it still looks good and fires up, no need to change. When you re wick you shoul rinse the used wick just to check it out.

I change both the wick and coil twice a month. Always kept the same flavor in the tank so I didn't feel like messing with the cotton too often

I use organic cotton rather then wick- do u mean change coil weekly or just cotton

May I ask you guys what size wire you are using? and what size coils you are making? just curious.

I use 28 gauge 8 wraps gets me at about 1.6 ohm give or take - I build it this way because Eleaf won't fire under 1 ohm

Just got my first Kayfun Lite this week too! I'm at 1.5 ohm on 24g Kanthal with cotton wick. 4.8 volts, not sure about the watts. Still waiting for my new mod next week. I love the flavor I am getting now.

I would say at 4.8 volts about 15 watts or so?

For my Kayfun's, I run them on a DNA 30 device and I like them around 1.5 ohm. I use 28g kanthal, 9 wraps on a 2mm screwdriver. I run them at about 15 watts most of the time.

I change cotton every day, because everyday i change the flavour I'm vaping, and I don't want to mix it up.

I'm usually smoke same liquid - use my dripper for switching it up - want to make it last long as possible I have bad habit of ruining my coil when I change cotton on kayfun

little tip.... rinse the coil and wick under water and then snip the cotton off as close to the coil on one side before removing the cotton. Won't mess up your coil that way.

Wow thanks . And should I let coil dry for period after ? Or just fire it and it'll be fine ?

I dry the deck off with a paper towel before I screw it back on a mod and then dry burn the coil.

I'm looking into a kayfun also, I watched many vids to. I was wondering what a good gauge, and number of wraps would give me a ohm of 2.0 at 3.8- 4 volts. I would be running this on a Provari.
