Modding RDAs into bottom fed atomizers

Fine is subjective. It feeds juice fine and doesn't short, I just happen to not like this style of atomizers :) Advantage and disadvantage is that it puts juice feeding hole right smack on the bottom, as opposed to drilling through the centerpost. It never floods, but can run a bit dry if your...

    Taifun problem :(

Thank you, Thrasher. That actually helped. The tube was a bit crooked after I glued it into the top cap. I flipped the tank upside down to see what is going on, and managed to straighten it out with some pliers. Works like a charm now, even with the steel tank. Incidentally, steel tank's...

    Taifun problem :(

When I refill mine, as I twist the base with atomizer into the tank, the chimney tube grabs onto the atomizer cap, and turns it, together with the atomizer body. That pulls my lovingly arranged wicks out of the holes, and it floods immediately. Have any of you found a way to deal with that...

    Fixing/improving Taifun clone

Hi there! So I have a Taifun GT clone, and love the vapor from it. One issue with it though. When I unscrew the tank, at the bottom as I'm supposed to, the chimney tube comes off the tank and stays on the atomizer chamber. Thus, dumps the leftover juice into my unsuspecting lap. I can't really...

Kayfun Lite - tobeco whistle fix

Also, for some reason, everyone seems to pronounce it very weird. It's supposed to be similar to the word "typhoon". Here: Google Translate

Kayfun Lite - tobeco whistle fix

Very strange, doesn't seem to work for me. I took a chunk of wire that came with it, folded twice (so there are 4 parallel strands), and stuck in the airhole (not the AFC screw hole). Sounds exactly the same as before :( Any other ideas? Frustratingly, the Taifun clone is completely silent...

Micro Coils to increase Vapor, flavor & TH

Having tried both, I lean heavily towards RM2. For some reason, I just really hate Cyclone/IGO-S/ERA style atomizers. Tried about everything I could think of, and I can't get them to run the way I like :( My RM2s are performing like a dream, in many different configurations -- micro coils of...

It's press-fit. Pliers, or (if there's a slot in the bottom) screwdriver should do it. I used to just stick a syringe needle through the wire hole and turn it.

    Taifun GT: Real vs Clone

Just got my Taifun clone from FastTech. So far seems to be a great vape, straight out of the box (well, after washing and setting it up). Just one minor issue, and I'm not sure if the real thing has the same problem. The post screws are round. Very round. As in, when you catch a coil under...

Dual coil RBA'S for Stock Reo?

This seems to work for me lately: 1. Fold your wire (28ga kanthal in my case) in half. 2. Twist about half inch of the folded end. 3. Coil one leg onto a drill bit in one direction, the other leg -- in the other direction. 4. Take out the drill bit, fold so it's two coils. But two drill bits...

The NCR18650PD only shows .23V Drop after 11 Hours Vaping on .37Ohm RBA

That is very interesting, Tom! Could you do me a favor and do the same test with some "sane" resistance atty? :) Something like 1.2-1.5 ohm? I think your XXLR coils are in a very unusual territory, and may be producing unusual results.

    Removing paint from a Reo

That just means you can't post with price more than 20% higher of the vendor price. So you can't charge more than 172.80 for a mechanical Reo.

    Removing paint from a Reo

If you do decide to sand it, don't use anything more coarse than 150ish grit. I did while sanding my Mini's door, and can't get the scratches out to this day :(

Oh, no problem at all. I still have 306es, a few RM2s, RM1, and a few gennies, so I'm good. Turns out I just plain don't like that style atomizers :)

I ran 1.5 to 2 ohm coils, 30 and 28 gauge, horizontal and vertical, cotton ball, cotton yarn, silica, and mesh. It must be me. I didn't like any of them.

Hmm, maybe I did something horribly wrong. My experience was the same with the similar at ties -- hornet, era clone, and igo-S. They all slightly leaked from under the cap, and all heated up like there's no tomorrow. The only way I found to reduce heating was to wrap excess wick around the...
