That is the trick... tring to findsomething he likes that will not choke him... it is a little frustrating...LOL... If we ever get money again will have to try some of the flavor art stuff. I have been reading about it, just to broke to shell anything out for it...LOL
Every good alchemist needs their grimoire... hehehe
In my limited mixing I have just wrote on the bottle with a permanent marker but I know if I really get into it I need a folder for it like I use for cosmetics.
I put it in everclear (love living in a state it is legal in..lol) I got a good amount on a toothpick then put it in about 6mls of EC... then I put more in... then a couple drops of that in some base... then more into the base till I could not stand it and hubby's going it needs more I can not...
clear tape and plain paper... print out the mailing label on a piece of paper and cut it out and cleat tape over everything except the bar code, if it is 1lb or less priority it cost the same amount so.. does not have to be a digital scale just one that works properly (cheap $5 food ones do work)
Ok I took the plunge and spent money.. I have 5 flavors coming:
Black Cherry Flavor
Blueberry Flavor
Milk Chocolate
Green Apple Flavor
Plum Flavor 4ml
Mainly did it for the green apple but wanted to get more then one, you know shipping on one item is always more :)
Now I have to...
Its ok to be different then other... vapors :) some like mild some like strong, I think part of DIY is to come up with something you like, from what you have said about the liquid you have bought your tastes do not mesh with other peoples so yup time to try it on your own :) experimentation here...
I tried mixing up some tobacco flavor with the tobacco absolute... hubby said it needed more dirty sock taste to it... so I think I'm going to leave tobacco alone for now he just can't get the hang of vaping and he wants it to taste more like a cig....LOL
Ahh the ethyl malitol would make it sweeter by what I read... I would start out trying a 50/50 mix (hehe it is the easiest to come up with...LOL) of vg/pg adjust according to the after taste.. oh and old vg has a horrid after taste, totally nasty so yes it does go bad, one of my first attempts...
I think it depends on individual tastes, we all taste things differently and some people like things sweeter then others. I can not help you much I am a novice dabbler so still feeling around in the dark myself. I hear VG adds sweetness to juice, which does not surprise me because it is very...
hehe I see I can just have other people justify it for me :) I am thinking I will, too bad I can not use oil based flavores I have a bunch of those for my lipbalms and cheesecake strawberry swirl sounds good...LOL
I guess if I do not like the flavors I can always put it into suckers.....
SoapersChoice.com - Product Listing is a good place for usp vg it is $1.428 a pound when you buy a 35 lb container if you wanted to get it from some where in the US... for pg and vg I tell you you should check out soapers stores... um I guess I have nothing else to add.
It may be in base 8...
Cool it wasn't just me that did not like lorann's chocolate... I tried it and it wasn't the best moment in my limited DIY... trying to justify a spending spree at PA right now but I don't know if that is going to happen...LOL
Humectants - Lotioncrafter - Premium Ingredients for Personal Care Products this lady is wonderful, the only thing is with the site I believe you have to order $25 worth of stuff.. she has both the usp vg and pg and some of the best prices for low quantities.
Deborah
I don't and I know it would not be practical for me to try because I live off the beaten path and the PO tells me out here over night is actully 2 day.... Of course other supliers live in better places for shipping then I do.
A lot of things used in cosmetics and stuff have certifications but once it is repackaged it loses them, I can see this happening with the USP certification, I know it happens with color certifications for dyes used in cosmetics. However, are you sure the suppliers are repackaging the PG? Some...
