Dirty, old or crusted coils can also have the opposite effect. Clogged coils could mask that peppery effect by actually insulating the coil make it burn cooler producing less vaper and flavor. But if the wick is actually burnt (Expecially cotton wicks) from dry hitting then it can introduce a...

The best place to find that information is to search the ECF forums for specific flavorings. I don't know of a one stop list that describes or list every flavor or recipe. There are many recipes including many recipe dedicated threads on ECF

Most prefer a 100mg strength NIC expecially if your going to freeze it in the event laws change making it expensive and hard to get BUT make sure you understand how to mix it down to your vaping strength. You get more NIC in a smaller container and its perfect for stockpiling. As far as what to...

If not opened I'm sure the shelf life is quite longer then 2 weeks but once opened it is no longer sterial so I wouldn't use it for medical applications but for our purposes as long as you don't cross contaminate it with VG/PG/NIC or flavoring 6 months should be fine. To be a little safer you...

The blog is meant to be a guide for enhancing a primary flavor and not meant to be interpreted as giving out a specific recipe. How I test new flavorings and hone in on the amount to use.

Using the drop method will quickly help you determine the flavors profile and hone in on the amount of flavoring needed. Mix up some base and place it in a squeeze bottle with a luer lock cap and 14ga needle. For a 20% flavor mix Add 4 drops base then clean the needle and place it on a 1ml...

Many have used stir plates with great success and it's starting to become main stream as far as steeping is concerned. A heated stir plate is the best choice. The key there is maintaining a temperature of 150F. I think I'll have to add a blurb about stir plates to this blog.

Comment by 'dannyv45' in 'nicotine composition as it pertains to VG, PG and flavoring and how they react with each other'

If the final strength you want to vape is 3mg then you can add the flavoring directly to the Nicotine base. There would be no need to add any additional VG. Adding flavoring will dilute the Nicotine further depending on how much flavoring you add.

How to adjust your base to reduce that peppery harsh Nicotine taste

Steps to take to narrow down if that harsh peppery taste is coming from either the NIC, the PG or the VG. Peppery or harsh taste is usually caused by old or cheaply extracted Nicotine solution. Or it could simply be that your vaping a strength that's to high for you. The following procedure...
