Got the ProVari now just waiting on the ZAP

Got mine a few weeks ago and absolutely love it. I accidentally cracked the glass while taking it apart to clean it. The glass is so fragile. I ended up ordering a Pyrex replacement tube from ib tanked, thinking that I needed something more heavy duty without having to go to a ss tube. Before...

New Provari came today and my extension doesn't screw in. :(

I just received my kir fanis 18560 extension sleeves for my provari mini v2.5. They don't fit either. Same problem as the first post mentioned. They screw on about a quarter turn and stop. Ironically, the end cap screws onto the kir fanis extension just fine. Geess...and I was looking forward to...

    The ZAP Rebuildable atomizer (RBA)

Thanks. I checked out Tankecigs and they have the 1/8" in stock, so I ordered some to experiment with. I will keep in mind that I may need to lightly sand them down to fit.

    The ZAP Rebuildable atomizer (RBA)

Who has them in stock? I've been looking for these for a while now, and they're never in stock. I noticed that discount vapers has 3 different sizes now instead of just 2 originally (but all are out of stock currently) 1/8, 7/64, and 3/32. I'm guessing that 7/64 is the one we need for the zap...

    The ZAP Rebuildable atomizer (RBA)

No, I haven't heard anything else other than phil's hour long interview. He mentions that it will initially or eventually come with ceramic wicks, which I am excited about. Seems like zen is getting away from ss mesh in his products. I just hope that his ceramic wicks will be available...

    The ZAP Rebuildable atomizer (RBA)

Any thoughts on the up and coming z atty pro revision 2.1?

Z atty Pro available right NOW

Wonder if that cap could then be ordered to fit existing ZAPs. I'm wondering that myself, and, will the zen style ceramics be available individually and fit on existing z atty pro's without modification. He mentioned something about removing the wick insulator when ceramic wicks become...

PBusardo Video - Zen & The Zenesis 2 System

He mentioned the z atty pro revision 2.1 coming in the next few weeks. It has engraved the logo engraved top cap and ceramic wick set up. Damn, and I just ordered a z atty from provape...doah!

Z atty Pro available right NOW

I ordered one yesterday. I've been waiting for them to come back in stock. Can't wait to try it out. I hear zen's new line is coming soon, keep an eye out for that. There will be a new version of the z atty pro with a ceramic wick and a logo engraved top cap instead of laser etched.

ProVari Mini with Kir Fanis Extension

I like the way the hippo looks as well, I'm gonna get one when they come back in stock. What tank do you use with it?

ProVari Mini with Kir Fanis Extension

Okay, Thanks. I like the idea behind it, and love kir fanis's work, so I'm in! I want to get one of his tanks as well.

ProVari Mini with Kir Fanis Extension

It looks good. What was the original finish on the extension? Silver polished, or silver unpolished? Just trying to figure out which one I should order.

    Wraps???

I seem to like 30 gauge better with 4 wraps and 1.2 ohms. But better yet is the kanthal flat ribbon wire, which is what I've been using for the last couple of weeks. Good stuff!

    Ribbon Wire

I would agree. More length of the wire due to a larger diameter wick.
  15. kdw5150

    Ribbon Wire

RBA's have different size wick holes, using different diameter wicks. A thinner wick requires less wire, while a thicker wick requires more wire with the same number of wraps. More wire means the resistance will be higher on a thicker wick with 4 wraps vs. 4 wraps on a thinner wick.

    Wraps???

well that might be you're problem. 3" is way too long, and 1.5" is way to thin. Since your wick is that long it may be shorting out on the bottom cap or top cap. And I find that the thicker the wick, the better it wicks the liquid. You don't want it too thick to where it's grinding on the wick...

    Wraps???

Okay, so you have the one with the screw on cap. I believe that one has a 3.5mm wick hole, so I would do a 40mm x 60mm wick. Also, I use 400 ss mesh. I've never tried the 500, so I can't comment on that.
  18. kdw5150

    Wraps???

Yeah, that would be 38mm x 76mm. Makes for a wide wick. Which AGA-T do you have?

    Wraps???

I forgot to mention that another thing that I've done different than Duane's method in his video is I use a 40mm x 40mm piece of mesh instead of a 40mm x 60mm piece. The wick hole in the AGA-T2 is smaller than the original AGA-T in the video and requires a narrower wick.

    Wraps???

Here's another video that I watched when I was first starting to oxidize and wrap coils. Duane Greene is one of the experts on genesis style atomizers, and I still use his method for the mesh, though I have been wrapping my coils (with paperclip still inserted into the mesh) directly on the...
