    Cold maceration of tobacco

Thanks for the kind words guys. I hope to stop in occasionally and see what's up as I've enjoyed the friendship and camaraderie here and wish you all the best in all your endeavors. I've sent out over 400 mls of extracts which has dented my stash but still have some to pay forward. PM me if...

    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

Just passed my second anniversary of no cigarettes! Had a bad cold hit me a couple of weeks ago, making everything taste like crap, so I quit vaping! I was vaping 12 mg juice and vaped a couple of mls the first week, then quit cold. It was far easier than quitting smokes lacking almost all of...

    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

A lot of malware is designed to allow the hacker access to your personal data for nefarious purposes. That I can understand. It's the malware designed to to just mess your day up that I can't understand. I'd love to get my hands on the ...... that wrote the last bug I got! Doesn't make...

    Cold maceration of tobacco

After trying many vendor NETs and many home extracted NETs, I can honestly say I've had very few that i didn't enjoy! Can't say the same for any other kind of juice. Tastes change, new tobaccos come along, equipment keeps getting better, so nothing is static but here is a list of my current...

    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

Your extract will be fine Equality. You can't see individual particulates below about 40 microns. Much of the brown residue on your 2.5 micron paper is particulates that are indistinguishable without magnification.

    Cold maceration of tobacco

Ian, thanks for being the guinea pig with freezer extraction. Sounds like my freezer will remain tobacco free. I'm taking a break from extracting since I have a ton of really good stuff on hand. Been doing a lot of reading up on pipe tobacco blends lately and have my future extractions...

Slow Cooker Extraction of Tobacco and Tea

Removal of bulk tobacco before filtering is an important step. I have used a cheap mesh strainer for every extraction I've done.

Slow Cooker Extraction of Tobacco and Tea

In a year, you've missed a lot. Your teas sound good but I'm still a straight up tobacco guy. The latest in filtering is a 5 micron felt used in a coffee press, pioneered by billherbst or alternatively, lab filter paper going down to 2 microns. I use the lab filter paper (2.5 micron) and let...

    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

Came to the same realization (about gennys) myself. I squonk NETs everyday and wouldn't go back. KGD cotton wicks make a big difference and are perfect for bottom feeding IMO.

    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

MOV NETs tend to be cleaner than QNJ and W2V gunkier. That said, both MOV and W2V have must-try offerings for Netizens.

    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

I agrre with Bill, cold maceration vs. heat assisted (if you avoid excessive heat) both can produce wonderful results and temperament of the extractor will be a big determining factor. I prefer cold steeps because they require the least work and extractions are never exposed to potentially...

    Cold maceration of tobacco

Glad I could help Ian. I have serious doubts about freezer maceration providing a flavorful extract but look forward to the results of your experiment. The guys in that other thread were after WTA more than flavor but we know you are a flavor man.

    What have you extracted lately?

I home brewed also! Clean and sober 14 years now and almost two years off cigarettes. Vaping is about my only vice left. Home extraction is definitely an enjoyable hobby. I read and learned a lot about tobaccos before I started and still read a lot. The number of tobaccos that I want to...

    Best tobacco for flavor extraction

Coil life with G&H tobaccos is excellent. Strong, straight up tobaccos with little or no casing or top dressing make them inherently clean and I filter to 2.5 microns. Most cigars tend to be pretty clean also due to less added flavoring, sugars, etc. I have not tried Titania Rum, but enjoy...

    Best tobacco for flavor extraction

Vaping Gawith and Hoggarth Black Irish X today. This full flavored, strong tobacco comes in a twist made from dark fired Kentucky and dark cured Indian tobacco. I can't say it's one of my favorites but I enjoy it occasionally. If you're a dark fired fan, this one has a big presence.

    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

I have never tried an all VG extraction. It would rough to filter. MFToms has the best idea and the most experience with VG NETs. See his post one page back.
