Since I got my March 2013 FC-2000s (non-slotted) set up with 28ga Kanthal, I sort of lost the itch to tinker with them because they've been working flawless for what? ... must be getting close to 2 months now, no cleaning, nothing, just add juice -- like it works right out of the box.
Now it's...
I'm at about 8mgs on the nic and vape about 10mls a day ... pretty much on par with what I consumed when I smoked, but 30% less than when I first started vaping. However, my coffee intake is up, my sugars way down. 5 months off the butts for me as of today.
So not sure what all this adds up to...
I suspect at least some correlation exists between the battery's capacity and the instant acceleration and delivery of current to the max. I mean it's full out wheel-spinning V-8 power like a 454 ... you don't even notice you've got a 1,200 lb moose in the box. I've vaped 7 mls so far on this...
Have them all ... MNKEs, AWs and Panny 2200s.
I run mechanicals on Gennys around 1.2 ohms using 28ga Kanthal. The Orby 2900s kick up way faster and produce far more power and for much longer. For what I'm using the MNKEs and AW perform about the same, but not as well as the Orbies. I don't...
The Z-Atty is a nice RBA and have one on my Provari. Also have 3 AGA-T2s and they vape equally well. In fact I prefer them because they don't get gunked up as quickly and the cap doesn't tilt off all that easily. Damn good workhorses. I haven't used my ZAP in a while now, but the AGA-T2s are up...
Received a week ago and been using the High Drain 18650 2900mAh NCR18650PD Hybrid Li-ion Rechargeable Battery Panasonic-Button Top.
Hands down the most powerful and longest lasting battery.
Many supposed heat sink issues are merely batteries not kicking up lots of power fast enough most...
That ---> ... mod has built in protection.
Unprotected batteries are mostly an issue with mechanical mods. IMRs give you faster response even in regulated mods, and where 6 winds or more are done on any given RBA wick, the difference really shows. Best to compare them for yourself.
That'll work providing you have a mod for it, as the standard size battery is 18650.
Based on my usage with different batteries in the eVic, IMRs have produced the best results.
Have had about 60 - 3.2ml tanks each about 4 weeks+ in on the same March FC-2000 wicks on 2 different AGA's ... no gunk, nothing to clean, look the same the day I installed these setups. I run 76% PG and flavoring is around .1% ... nearly flavorless.
The fishstone is fine depending what you want to do. Yeah, the taste is a little earthy, but nothing that riles me to any extent. 1/8 wick with 32ga kanthal vaporizes similar amounts of juice as the current wicks, but when you head up to 30, even 28ga of wire, it can't keep up wicking enough...
The trick is to wrap the coils around the mesh without having any voids, and at the same token not so tight that it bites right into it. Heat sink type of effects can come into play when insufficient contact exist, since the airspace between the coil and the wick has to act as a transfer agent...
Lol ... 4 ply poly run by dual elastic exerting a ton of force against the glass. Ain't no air getting in today or in 10 years. I'll pass on the vacuum pack, inferior setup compared to what I have, since no track record exists on separation of vac-pack plies under freezing condition for a decade...
Hey Grace ...
4x4 half-ton about town baby-sitting numerous jobsites ... but on the road mostly through city traffic.
Always 3 different flavored vapes on the go. End of the day I have my hands full getting my vaping toys ready for the next day with yet another 3. Keeps things interesting...
Go with the 1.5 long ... you'll have to cut them a touch. 28ga is fine, in fact it's the best ... lol ... can't get a better vape. PM me when you are all set to go and I'll step you through the whole process. Piece a cake when done right.
I'm on the road most of the day in a truck too but not trucking exactly.
I take several Genny RBA mounted mechanical mods with me and plenty batteries on hand.
One well-known long-term ECF member has had VG nic-base in his freezer for 3.5 years and feels it will last at least 10 years.
I have enough for at least 10 years in the freezer and went to town to keep the air out of the bottles too. (Overkill by some people's accounts) But not taking any chances.
