Last up, David Lee Roth singing Just a Gigolo/I Ain't Got Nobody. I had to Google the original artist, and it turns out the song Just a Gigolo was adapted by Irving Caesar in 1929 from the Austrian song "Schöner Gigolo, armer Gigolo", written in 1928 by Leonello Casucci (music) and Julius...

Actually, what I did today would make a great social chain thread. Once this contest is over I might start a cover thread like it! Post a cover by the artist covered in the previous post. I'm not gonna do it yet though, cuz unique covers are at a premium to post for the JUICE.

And finally, Elton covering The Who's "Pinball Wizard". I found this live version from more recently to prove my favorite artist is still rockin it out. Check out the original "Tommy" movie too. See what I did there?

Then, George Michael covering Elton John's "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me". (Well, almost a duet, but we are just having fun.)

So we'll go with a "Kevin Bacon" Day for the 2nd to last day for the contest. I think this contest is awesome, and I don't really care how the winners are chosen. Not to downplay the awesomeness of Aroma, but it is for a $12 bottle of juice which most people participating here will buy in the...

And because there can never be enough Aretha Franklin when we're discussing music, here's her adding soul to "The Weight", originally recorded by The Band.

The best covers become the defining version of the song. This was my one of my mother's top 5 songs- Roberta Flack covering "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face", written as a folk song by British political singer/songwriter Ewan MacColl for Peggy Seeger and recorded by many.

Congratulations Hitman, I enjoyed your entry as well! This is getting harder to find good, unique covers. Let's start with the carribean flavor UB40 put on Elvis's "Can't Help Falling in Love", written by Hugo Peretti, Luigi Creatore, and George David Weiss.

And finally for today, even though it's not the season I have always loved the Boss singing "Santa Claus is Coming to Town". I crank it in my car every year. Written by John Frederick Coots and Haven Gillespie.

I thought long and hard about which video to post for this next one, as the "Stay" portion of this live performance of Jackson Browne is only the last 3 and a half minutes that fed off of his fantastic "The Load Out", but since this is a cover contest... originally by Maurice Williams and the...

So yesterday I posted a remake of a Eurythmics song, which got me thinking of Annie Lennox's Whiter Shade of Pale originally by Procol Harum. I had to Google that, and when I learned the answer I knew why. Never heard of them though I like their version just as much.

And finally for the day, a twist by the twisted Marilyn Manson- "Sweet Dreams" by the Eurythmics, originally. I can't believe this one isn't a repeat-
