Another thing you can try is popping the o-rings out so they're not all mushed. I use a toothpick and stretch the o-rings out a bit , letting them snap back in place like elastic on underwear. It's worked for me a time or two.

I'd buy a fancy mod and a few tanks, a bunch of PIF starter kits, and more DIY juice supplies.

I use mine with an ordinary evod or vivi nova. They work fine. I prefer the evod because it sets down in the connector eliminating a "buckle" point.
