Are the iclear 30 &16 coil heads interchangeable?

I have iclear 30 and the mouthpiece is very stiff, I know that it is supposed to move around a lot easier. What can i do to fix this? Can i remove the metal ring around the base of the mouthpiece?

The juices iv been using are foos and vapor7. When i first fill my clero it is pretty much clear liquid, but then starts to get dark and looks like maple syrup. Is that normal?
