I would recommend turning your wattage WAY down and firing a tank and see if your mods 10 second cut off is working properly before continuing to use it.

I have vaped at about 245 and nearly burned a hole through the back of my head. It's very hot and I can only take quick 1 or 2 second draws before my lungs were full. I've seen others go higher, but I cried uncle at 245. Bear in mind I normally vape around 20 watts on a .5 ohm or so 316l 3mm...

Doubtful. A tank can't do anything without power from the mod. Either the mod malfunctioned or the button got pressed repeatedly in a pocket. Any tank getting fired repeatedly at 200 watts with no break to wick more liquid is gonna fry and burn the coil and wick. Once the cotton is burned it...
