Indeed, Horselady. That mostly happens when I take too many puffs too quickly or if I haven't eaten anything. What I find I'm doing though is when watching tv, cooking, browsing, whatever it is, I'm always picking up my mod and vaping, whether I need nicotine or not. I'm sure I'm not alone...

Yep, I hear you. Well, I've been building on my mods for years but fancied having a dedicated rebuilder deck. Not least because I've had issues matching my coil resistances with what the steam coil calculator says it should be for various wraps.

Thanks for all the replies guys. I'm not much the wiser at the moment though. I've absolutely no idea what's going on. :confused: I just unwrapped those coils and made them 5.5 wraps and according to the calculators, it should be 0.22 ohms but it's reading 0.34 ohms.

Doesn't fluctuate in wattage mode, a solid 0.45 ohms. However in temp control, it goes to 0.51 ohms.

I don't have a caliper to measure but I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have sent me 25 gauge. I think each coil must be 0.90 as the total coil resistance has come out at 0.45 ohms. Dual coil for 0.45 ohms at 26 gauge says 12 wraps per coil and 25 gauge says 15 wraps per coil. So whichever gauge...
