I'd say try a premium juice first.. at least then you get a feel for what the better stuff tastes like and you'll have a decent gauge of others.

Agreed, I switched from a starter kit to a Provari (which was a bad move because now my girlfriend wants one too) and it was a huge difference. Using that with an aerotank 2 made the flavors really come out of my juices.
