    Random DIY mixing and More

My new PC arrived today. I have a couple of days prep work to do on the old one before I can start the transfer. Haven't got a new screen for it yet. Discovered that getting a PC from the Dell site is a good move, good prices, more choices, and it's easy to mix and match the components you want...

Boro Mod's, Tanks, Attys And More

I live not far south of Chicago and it takes way longer for stuff to get here than if it landed in CA. There seems to be two problems. Firstly packages take a long time to get past whatever goes on in Chicago. Secondly the guy with the map and the pin randomly selects a location somewhere in the...

Yeah, WPS isn't so bad. Not even close to Norton. Or Windows with its constant pushing of the new smart assistant. Everyone is doing it now.

Also last night I finished up my task list for the wife's PC and ordered my own box. Going to be busy for a couple of weeks. Currently my screen is attached to the wall behind my desk with a TV mount so I can move it around. Modern computer screens aren't set up to be used with TV mounts. You...

Last night I finished up a 50ml of blackcurrant. That was the last one with meringue in it. I filled the tank up with the new version with no meringue and lots of cream and vanilla. For a change this one had steeped for a month. So far I really like it. I have small amounts of cream and vanilla...

My first Boro device - Compatibility?

I'm OK with the BB. Mainly for the coolness factor, other than that it doesn't have anything I can't get from regular mods and tanks. There is the advantage of being able to put lots of different decks in it. And endless ways to customise it if you are into that. Side airflow. The ones I have...

I saw that lifetime version of Office 2016 when I was researching last week. Trouble is I bought a lifetime version of 2013 and now it's not transferable. 2016 is the most recent version that MS hasn't sabotaged. I use Word quite a lot but the only spreadsheets I have are for vaping. I built my...

Got it downloaded. Lots of pop-ups asking me to move to the paid version that does a bunch of advanced stuff I will never do. Noticed a few minor differences in working on a spreadsheet. It didn't hang about, as soon as it loaded it kicked MS Office off and replaced it as my default. I didn't...

My first Boro device - Compatibility?

That's the same one I have. I know you can get panels with holes in front of the bottom of the boro for extra airflow. Never had a problem with air flow myself but maybe some inserts need it, The ones I use are KFL which is tight MTL style and Xeta which is more open. Maybe they would be better...

Finally got the wife's new PC up and running. The copy program only took 3 hours to run, after a week of studying the user guide and a couple of days of prep work. Still have a list of cleanup work to complete the process. The old PC's lasted 10 years. If the new ones last that long they might...

    Random DIY mixing and More

I've gone the other way with mixing. One mix at a time. That way I only have to get out a few bottles of flavoring, couple of cylinders, and a bottle of base. Not a big deal with only half a dozen regulars to worry about. That wouldn't work too well if I was making lots of small test bottles.

Wife's new PC arrived today. I've got it set up and Norton installed. That thing is seriously fast. Can't do any copying yet because the USB transfer cable doesn't arrive until tomorrow. Now I need to go through the instructions, I know there's other prep stuff I have to do before the copy...

Any mods out there with a wattage lock?

I think he means the up/down buttons. So if the up button gets pressed in his pocket it could push the watts way up. It's happened to me when I pulled a mod out of my pocket and accidentally grabbed it by the up button. Some mods do let you lock everything except the power button. The Z80 has a...

    Tank Recommendation?

I ordered a couple of Nautilus tanks from Central many years ago. Maybe they were out of the Nautilus because they actually sent me different Aspire tanks, Toptank?, AND they were clones. I didn't notice they were different tanks until I opened one of them. I returned them. They reimbursed me...

We used to say why-aye (pronounced why eye). Aye meant yes, why-aye was more like I definitely agree. Might as well have some fun with this thread since the original content is a waste of space.

It is. They planted the seed late fall last year. Today it was way longer than the rest of the grass in my yard.

85 here today. Rain is coming on Tues so I had to give the lawn its first haircut of the year. Sure am glad I have a rider now. The new grass laid by the sewer crew was up way over my knees, they said to let it grow for a while to lay down roots.

I ordered a new computer for the wife last night. Her old one had some hard disk failures last week and Windows ran an automatic fix program. She mostly uses it for watching videos. Only 20% of her 1TB disk was used so I got a smaller disk, but SSD. More memory, DDR5. It should be a lot faster...

    vaping in schools

I would like to suggest a few more transgressions we could have parents fined for letting their kids do. Beer, pot, cigs, swearing, not finishing their vegetables, underage sex, listening to heavy metal, running in the hallway, fighting, littering.

Warm and sunny today. Like to mow but it rained hard yesterday so I'll probably wait for a couple of days. It should be dry and hot for a week. The lawn repair guys came round this morning to finish fixing the damage from the sewer installation last fall. The ground had dropped around a foot in...
