    Help me find something new?

My Sensis and extra pod/coils came in today, I'm just breaking the coils in slow with a little lower wattage but it vapes great, I really appreciate the recommendation @Territoo this is literally perfect for my needs right now. I'm playing around with the airflow and seeing what works best for...

    Help me find something new?

Some additional questions if anyone looks back here... Any suggestions on a tank (I suddenly have the urge to have something to screw into the adapter) that has good coils (longevity and flavor) that aren't impossible to find and are widely available for the moment? Also any suggestions on...

    Help me find something new?

I went as boring as possible with the black (not carbon). I considered the pink but black goes with everything. I got an extra pod and some coils too, although after reevaluating I didn't take into account whether I'm going to care about MTL or not and I only got the .25 coils and I guess the...

    Help me find something new?

Thanks! I looked around a little and found an Innokin Sensis at the right price, it's on the way. Nice that it has a 510 adapter for sure. I remember Innokin and liked the brand way in the past so this at 30 dollars is right up my alley.

    Help me find something new?

Hi there, I haven't vaped in six or seven years now. I first used it to quit smoking, then kinda went hobbyist on it and ended up with a shelf of mods and tanks ranging from mechs to box mods. Then I quit, sold all my stuff, and haven't touched it in said years. I think that was around the...

    New to ECF and vaping

Man, you're rocking some great stuff in your vape collection for being new to vaping! I haven't delved into the famed 5 pawns as of yet, but I vape like a hobo on the cheapest stuff I can find, heh.

Moving up to my first Mech Mod

Adjusting the coils and tightening the screws (even just strumming a little) can solidify a weak connection, so if your leads are just a little off in the posts you can get them "right" by fiddling like that. Adjust, make sure it's tight, and recheck is just the routine :)

Moving up to my first Mech Mod

When you recheck on a meter and you get a wonky result like that, try tightening the screws a little - and if that doesn't help, strum the coils a little with something like a toothpick or screwdriver (not hard, just barely), and test again. After that, it's time to rip out the build and begin...

why do I need an ohms meter

The way I see it, it is one more layer of protection from potential hazards. In addition, if you short out the electronics in an ohms meter, it is no big deal, fifteen dollars for a new one. If you short out a 50-100 dollar mod? That's way more pricey to replace. So, why not? It's as...

Welcome to ECF and congrats! What kind of setup do you have, what gear are you vaping on, and what kind of flavors are you enjoying?

    what's your personal buffer zone

I do the same as some others have mentioned, as much headroom as 50% and I rarely build below 0.5 anyhow. If I can get a great vape without building low, I don't really see a real purpose for doing it :) And it makes me more comfortable, particularly with my mechs compared to my regulated mods.

    KangerTech SUBTANK Mini

Five strips of cotton later and I think I got the rewicking right, it's wicking fast enough to vape above 30 watts. Kept having to put less cotton in with each try because of dry hits, and this last time it is super wet unless I crank up the power. (Might be in danger of flooding, not sure :O )

    Sigelei 50w VR2 Review

The more I use the silicone sleeve the easier it is to get on and off, yet it is still tight - I think I like it better with, and it doesn't really increase the time it takes me to switch batteries that much. This 50w vr2 is still rocking a week later, best purchase I've made in months :D I...

    KangerTech SUBTANK Mini

I've been having a heck of a time just rewicking the occ heads, heh. That "just right" amount is elusive. I'm hoping I can get it down and then move on to the rebuildable section so that I can start all over again figuring out the wicking o.o Maybe I should just grab a lemo for rebuilding!

    subtank sub ohm vaping overated

I'm glad you found what works for you! It is a different journey for each person. Sub-ohm coils might not be right for you - for me, they are just right (at a certain point - different for everyone. I like .5 to 1.2 ohms usually, other people like to go way lower!)

    New vapers, go rebuildable...

I can't disagree with this more. A new vaper doesn't have the knowledge necessary to make proper use of rebuildables, DIY, or battery safety. Those who are willing to invest the time to learn properly can certainly make that leap, but so many just want something as easy as buying a pack of...

    Sigelei 50w VR2 Review

I noticed how the button "disappears" with the silicone cover as well, took me a little while to adjust although now I find it every time. Of course, one could always just put a jwrap or vaporskin on it and not use the silicone cover, but I'm stubborn :D

    Cloupor Mini

I have to agree with Foggy, if your Cloupor ends up crapping out on you, go for a Sigelei :)

    Cloupor Mini

As long as you build within what your battery and device can handle it will be safe. But you don't need to sub-ohm to get great flavor or vapor. When you build, just make sure to test and retest to be sure you don't have any shorts or problems, and to make sure your resistance is where you...
