I mix a liter in a batch. 50/50 pg/vg, 12 mg nic, 1% all in one flavor, and keep the bottle in the freezer. I believe in that situation i will keep it's flavor indefinitely but a year is enough. Anything older isn't mixed yet.

Batteries last me for years but I try to keep only the minimum number around so it's easier to get new ones when they start to lose capacity. The very first batteries I bought 6 years ago are still in service in an ohm meter and a flashlight.
