Mine was from the last batch and I've had only minor problems. Slight alignment problem of the top battery terminal..easily rectified. Minor seepage (sp?) around where the epoxy meets the bottle cap (at those ridges). It's very little and it sometimes needs wiping off when changing the bottle out.

That was the only problem with mine. I just did a jury-rig on it and it's fine. I may just put a bit more solder on the top terminal so the alignment isn't so critical but for now it's working as expected.

I'm using the same batteries and also use the AW red 1600 mAh. No problems cutting out here. I have on MANY occasions left that button pressed for 10-15 seconds to 'fry' that flooding away. This is one tough atty.
