    My Goobies ....

I'm sorry for your loss. We lost our cat Zippo to old age and ill health two Octobers ago, and we have another one who is 17, has liver disease and won't be with us for a great deal longer. Just remember that not only did you love Goobies, you were loved back. And now you have a new kitty that...

How popular is vaping where you work?

There are at least 100 people where I have worked for 15 years. As far as I know, only four are left who smoke. Two of us vape. Neither are allowed on any land or premises owned by the company. Where it used not to be an issue, now you can get fired for it, and there is a smoking Nazi on the...

100 people smoking analogs, zero vapers

I'm only five months into vaping and I've still only seen one family vaping in the wild, waiting to be seated outside a steak restaurant. A couple of guys in their late teens or early twenties, their parents and their grandparents all whipped out their PVs. We chatted briefly before we got...

Now im 100% drug and alcohol free

Good for you. I quit drinking 26 or so years ago - and not because I had to. I've never had a cup of coffee. Love the smell of good coffee in a percolator, but I'm repulsed by the taste. I drink tea instead. I don't take any medicine, not even aspirin - I've never had a headache. I'm five months...

    First analog free day, struggling

If the bathroom at your workplace smells like industrial cleaning chemicals, or even fake-nice like air freshener, whatever you vape in there isn't going to be anywhere near as strong-smelling, so nobody will know. You just have to be concerned about somebody walking in. Your body is freaking...

What is it we've been addicted to for all these years?

I did that, too - reach for the papers - a few times during the first couple of weeks. It was sort of like muscle memory. But I don't do it anymore.

What is it we've been addicted to for all these years?

Yes, RYO cigarettes go out all the time, within minutes if you aren't puffing on them. I've read here that now, to reduce the fire hazard of unattended factory cigarettes, they now have the addition of carpet glue in them to make them go out if you're not actively puffing on them. Why they...

What is it we've been addicted to for all these years?

Thanks for that information. It's been five months since I quit, and four months since I stopped inhaling the vapor, and I still haven't coughed up any black crud, although my lungs have completely stopped wheezing. Should I be worried about not expelling the gunk that surely must be in there yet?

What is it we've been addicted to for all these years?

No, I can't prove it, and I said as much in a subsequent post. I read it either in an article hosted on this board, or linked to from this board. I asked to be corrected if I stated anything that was untrue. I was corrected by a moderator. But thanks for your aggressive and confrontational...

    For the Floridians.....help!!!

There is a Florida vaper's group here on the site, where nothing has happened in the four months I've been in it. But they have a map visible to only members of the group (a work in progress) with vape shops in the state identified by markers. I don't know if this helps you or not, but there are...

    Ugh...yet another scare...

Here's your sign, pal. Do you remember the days when, if some celebrity had something idiotic to say, they would have to say it to a reporter, who could ask them to elaborate on why they thought their uninformed opinion should be news? And then it would have to pass the scrutiny of an editor...

Small like a traditional cig, but powerful like the larger models?

I've only used a V2 Pro Series 3. It doesn't look like a cigarette, but it also does not look like an implement of destruction. It makes what I'd consider to be a decent amount of vapor if you use an e-liquid higher in VG than the kind they sell at V2. I blow out what seems to be a comparable...

What is it we've been addicted to for all these years?

Thanks for all the feedback. mcclintock, I can't point you to where I read that MAOI drugs are added to cigarettes. It was either in an article hosted here, or an article linked to from here (not a post by a member, or their conjecture), but I've read a mountain of information since I first...

What is it we've been addicted to for all these years?

I apologize in advance; this is going to be long. I smoked 20-35 cigarettes a day for 42 years, but never knew as much about tobacco for that period of time as I've learned about it reading here for the last five months. I've been trying to analyze my usage and apply what I've learned to how...

Survey, how much have you spent since day 1?

It's only been five months for me (next Thursday), but I've spent right around $200. I've only bought one vaporizer. The kit and 75 ml of liquid was $130, and the rest has been seven bottles of other liquid at $10 each. When I run out of liquid tomorrow, it will be my last day of vaping. I would...

Do you still have the patience

It's a shame that so many of you have to put up with insensitive jerks like that in your daily life. I've only been vaping for five months next week, but no one has said a word about it to me yet. The few people at work who know I vape haven't said anything about it, either. Then again, no...

The Vaping Truth Survey(latest version) is Now Live!

I took it, too. I went to read the results of the previous poll, and this comment stood out: "• Vaping you aren’t getting all the cardigans, tar, and I can breath better and taste stuff a lot better." Sweaters come with cigarettes now? Yay for English education in 'Murica, I guess.

Musicians check in here. If you play, tell us about it!

That has been my situation. You come up in the ranks playing other peoples' songs. I figure if you're going to play another man's song, if you can't learn to play it at least as well as he did, why bother? If it's a record that doesn't rely too heavily on production values and effects and...

Do any of you plan to quit?

When my e-liquid runs out at the end of this week, I will give up vaping, too.
