    Thanks, I have done a casual look around for a 5-7v 5 amp ac to dc psu but no luck so far. Think I saw the pro-vari adapter a long time ago when considering a provari.... alas the combination of a provari and the adapter is way more than I want to spend. Depending on the cost of an ac-dc...

    I want to make a dedicated plug in passthru type device. I already found out a 5v 2.1amp dc power source is inadequate... so my question is what would the required specs of a dc psu be for this board to function properly w/o batteries at all. Thanks so much in advance.

    They won't w/o the extension, which is an option for the metal vmax.... am hoping said extension will work with it's non-metallic cheaper brethren.

    Because I have several pairs of new 18350 batteries (some too tall for the vv that is going wonky they were intended for) and if this mod is still functional a couple years down the line when the 18350'sare all used up, then I can buy some 18650's :)

    May be right, though it looks to me as best as can compare in side by side browser windows the threading looks the same... but the bottom cap on the acryli has a wider flange/lip to match the tubes wider OD. Hopefully can get a firm response either way... a bit pricey to order both with crossed...

    Does the Extension Cap for the ZMax also work with the clear and acrylimax units as have a few pairs of slightly taller than standard 18350's I would like to get use out of :) so looking for a vv unit that would allow me to.thanks in advance
