Whichever way on the inhale one might do, beginning a nose exhale then just pausing for a couple or three seconds before finishing seems to do the job nicely.

I'm surprised by the number of people on this forum who have mentioned that they do/did direct inhale. I think in all my decades hanging around countless other smokers, I've only know one or two who routinely smoked that way.
