    Does Size Matter??

all of needs to age, smaller bottles will age faster. But, it does not matter the batch size. If you make a 40ml batch and fill one 10ml bottle and one 30ml bottle, the 10ml will age faster. A 1ml batch will never taste the same as a 30ml batch, unless maybe you have some insanely accurate...

    Ahlusion E-juice

I am sick and tired of hearing massive hype about juice makers only to be disappointed, I now mostly vape my creations as a result. I received my 'sampling' (4 juices of vastly different flavor profiles) from Ahlusion today. I still have a tear in my eye. Even fresh, they are amazing, after...

How to make 10% vanillin solution?

because "+- 56ml" was a guesstimate, your math is on. The final amount of diluent can differ depending on the density the powder or crystal. Still, your method will result in more constant results than '1/4 tsp in 10ml'.

How to make 10% vanillin solution?

not quite exact, but it would work. I place a 50ml Volumetric flask on an accurate scale and measure out 5 grams of powder (for 10%, use 10 grams for 20%) then fill the flask with pg to 50ml mark (be sure to stir and get any air bubbles out). Volumetric Flasks are cheep and very handy.

How to make 10% vanillin solution?

6 grams of powder to +- 56ml of pg for a 10%. this is where those volumetric flasks that WL sells come in handy...

Japanese mint oil & eucalyptus oil

you would be surprised how many flavors are oil based, if there is alcohol in the mix than it's a good bet there is an oil in it. the problem is most vendors like to simply list "natural and artificial flavors" so you just assume that it's pg based. This is another reason I'm such a TFA Fanboy...

Steeping vs Aging - a minor rant

from Wikipedia Juice is "AGED" like wine, not "STEEPED" like tea. Ya, I know I'm tilting at windmills, but, there is so much nomenclature being used in the vaping community that is totally inaccurate, it's starting to drive me sane. don't get me started on people calling e-liquid 'OIL'...

Vanilla bean ice cream (TFA) question (acetyl propionyl)

It is more than likely that the other brands contain Acetyl Propionyl, acetoin, or both. TFA is just the only one who will talk about it. Anything with 'custard notes' will have at least one of those molecules. I have not done a lot of research, but it seems that Acetyl Propionyl (VBIV) is safer...

    Steeping... Oops

GOOD GOD MAN!!! That stuff will kill you!!! no, it's fine, I leave one of my blends in a crockpot on 'warm' (130ish) for 36hours, then it goes on the magnetic stir plate for 24hours (better than 4 weeks aging in the bottle)...

menthol leaves a bitter aftertaste, anyway to alleviate this?

DUDE!!! That's a 10% solution of MENTHOL (aka 100mg/ml), that's a flavor base, not a vapable juice! try .1g of menthol to your 10ml. Better yet make a 50% solution by mixing 10g menthol and 10ml pg (not really a 50% solution, but close enough). Add a few drops of that to your finished juice...
